"And then I had to yell at her to stop talking so she wouldn't embarrass herself even more." Hannah said, finishing her story about her sister.
"So all the things that your sister said, she told him on the camping trip?" I asked her as we walked though the hallways to make our way to the cafeteria.
"Yep." Hannah continued. "She was telling John all about the incident that happened at the water park, but I had to get her to stop before she finished that story. He would tease her forever."
"Wait, isn't he a junior like us?"
"Yeah, but Sara is only two years younger. It's not like she is a seven year old." Hannah paused. "She does act like one though..."
"That is very true," I laughed. "So was it just your family and his family at the camping trip?"
"Yes. They are really our only family friends. None of the other families on our street like us very much because we are too loud for their liking." She said and made a face. "How can someone be too loud?"
"You can." I said and laughed at her. She rolled her eyes at me and fixed her hair. "So anyways, what school did you say that John went to?" I asked as we sat down at our lunch table in the cafeteria.
"His family chose to go to the other high school. Orange High." She said with a huff.
"Ugh. Orange." I said and made a face. "They always mess with our school."
"I know. And why does their school have to be so close to ours? Like does that even make sense to have two high schools just down the street from another? Obviously the people who made that decision should know that there would be huge rivalry! So dumb." She practically yelled before taking a bite of her sandwich.
We then heard a whistle and turned to see where it had come from. We locked eyes with the guy that walked past us.
"Ladies." Dylan said with a smirk as he passed our table.
Hannah replied with a scoff while I settled for giving him a death glare.
He then stopped and looked towards his friends. "I will see you guys later," He said to them before turning around and taking a seat right next to me with his stupid smirk, not uttering a word.
Hannah and I just looked at each other for a second with an annoyed expression.
Hannah was the first to speak up. "Why are you here?"
"Because I can be." He said giving her a fake smile.
"What makes you so special?" She asks with disgust.
"Everything." He replied with a smirk, then took a bite of his pizza.
"Ugh. We don't even like you." She says with a glare.
"First of all, hurtful." He says with while putting his hand over his heart as if he were wounded. "And second of all, I can do whatever I want."
"Why?" I ask butting into the argument.
"Because I won the Lion Games last year." He said with the smirk never leaving his face. "You need to get with the program," he paused before adding, "doll."
"Excuse me! First of all," Hannah said mimicking his stupid voice, "don't call my friend 'doll.' And secondly, the Lion Games. Wow. Those games are so lame." Hannah says rolling her eyes. "Only losers try to win that and only the biggest loser of all wins it and brags to the whole school about and ends up being hated even more then they were before. I'm guessing you broke the record for being most hated?" Hannah finishes her rant, hoping to put a dent in his ego.
