What is Rumination? And how does it fit into our hero's story?

Well, my dearest readers. Let me tell you.

Rumination, noun, a deep or considered thought about something. The literal dictionary meaning but for us, it holds a much more profound worth.

We do not know how or why, yet years ago the first Rumination was chosen. The knowledge we accumulated over the years concluded to one thing: They only appear in the darkest of times, when faith all but vanished. The tiniest, slightest shimmer of light started to form in the all-consuming darkness, the Rumination.

Now Ruminations are ordinary, sometimes stuffy people chosen by a higher power, to be the hero we may not have wanted at the time but doubtlessly needed.

Alas, it was not as easy as it seemed or sounded, for one who received the rumination, could not just rise and fight, for the most significant confront was to take place in oneself first.

After all the rumination did as it was meant to do, it scoured the soul and left no place unturned, darkest desires, deepest fears all lay bear to the rumination. Although you and I would think, that one's most desirable, unassailable features would build the very foundation of one's power.

On the contrary, my dearest readers, for it was not our strengths the rumination fed upon, but the very thing we detest. Although it was not without purpose, for each had to face the darkest of themselves, search deep inside for strength to overcome and be triumphant over to coming evil.

(A man who fears the weather can now control it.

A woman who fears the dark must live in it to survive.)

By no means does it conclude that a Rumination has to be good, for it searches only the soul and not the heart. For what is a soul without a good heart to guide it?

Come with me, my dearest readers, and explore the extraordinary adventures of our five imperfect, perfect heroes.
