Prologue

"Ah.. 2018. What a year it has been, I guess it'll come to an end soon."

The one who was talking in the background is me. Oh, i forgot to introduce myself.

Hello! My name is Kagemasa Eijirōu. I'm a 2nd year in Kamii High School, and i'm pretty infamous for being an otaku.

Today is December 20th, of 2018 and 2018 is coming to an end soon. Just as i said earlier to one of my friend.

"Right? time do passes quickly when you have fun. Right Eijirōu?"

said one of my best friends. Well.. it's not like i have any "friends" other than him. He is none other than Ryuunosuke Ryo, More widely known as "Prodigy" (天才)

We've been friends since the first year of high school. It's quite unbelievable that the top student of an elite high school would be friends with an otaku like me.

"..."

"Eijirōu?"

"Oh, sorry. what did you said?"

"Never mind then, what were you doing gazing out the window?"

"Nothing really.. just admiring the view of people putting efforts on everything they do."

"When you put it like that it kinda makes you sound like the world's most laziest person."

"I wouldn't mind grabbing that title for myself then."

Ryo laughed at me and said i might be the most useless person person in this world.

"Geez, you don't mince your words do you?"

"Pardon?"

Ryuunosuke Ryo. a Top student of Kamii High School and also the prodigy of the decade. The reason why he doesn't have any friends except me is due to his disability to give a thought to other feelings. He would just say what he's thinking without giving a care. "Useless", "Trash", "Idiot". Is the most common words in his dictionary.

And thanks to my exceptional ability to withstand all of his insults. I became best friends with him.

"By the way, Eijirōu. The bus will be leaving soon we should hurry and get inside."

"I agree."

Today is a special occasion since all students of the school is going on a hiking trip. Even though i didn't want to waste my energy to go i'm still forced to go due to it affecting my grades.

And so, We both got into the bus and headed towards the Takao Mountain.

Along the ride i decided to save my energy by not participating in any conversation and just conserve my energy by sleeping..

What seems to be a hour of sleep went by like nothing. And we all got out into the bus and embarked on the hiking trip.

"To be honest, i do not know what's going on but i'm just following the rest of the students and listening the teacher explain some facts that might not even come in handy."

i spoke to myself while complaining about this hiking trip. This is really the worst.

"!"

When i reverted my attention, i accidentally tripped over a rock and started sliding down the hills.

I could feel the rocks and ranch scratching me, leaving a burn. what' also there was a faint of sound screaming my name.

"EIJIRŌUU!!"

Ah.. it's Ryo. dang it, i need to hold on to something. Right as when i was about to reach out my hand to grab a tree. i could feel an amazing shock towards my head. sending a wave of pain towards my brain before finally i blacked out and fainted.

I don't know when did i blacked out but it felt like a long time ago, and when i regained my consciousness i could feel my head hurting so bad i want to die.

"I want to die. I want to die. I want to die"

is what's looping in my head.. when i saw the blood i immediately got cold feet and went into a shock before i fainted another time..

As i opened my eyes.. i could see nothing but a bright light and a room that i don't recognize. Along with..

Who seems to be a girl beside me sitting in a chair sleeping..
