It's been a long time, hasn't it? Sorry for not updating in over 7 months. I'd like to say I've been busy but that's an absolute lie. I was spending too much time on wattpad that it became a problem and i decided to cut it off. I'm not back for certain, but here's an update because some of you are so so so loyal and i'm lucky to have you! I love you all❤️

It's a short chapter, but it's only a little 'filler' i suppose of what's to come. I'll be writing it a bit differently too because it feels really cringey so far. 719 words.

Classes P.O.V

Just like that, Marinette had vanished from her spot in the room in a pool of red ladybugs. The only evidence the class had that this wasn't all a dream and that Marinette had actually been standing in front of them, was a piece of pink ribbon lying on the floor.

The whole class stood silent, too lost in their thoughts to even comprehend the situation they had witnessed and the predicament they were now in.

Alya (being the closest to Marinette) had fallen onto the ground in such a shock that her phone flew in front of her and onto the wooden floors with an impact that made the whole class jump in fright.

Streaming down Alya's face were tears of frustration and confusion. A look that the class had never thought they would ever see. Alya had always been a brave and strong individual so for her to be such a mess brought even Ivan to tears.

Nino walked over to Alya and pulled her into his chest, letting her sob quietly as he tried to console her. Adrien looked away, his eyes saddening.

"Is... Is she really gone?" Surprisingly, Chloe had asked this question.

Alya had turned to Chloe with rage storming through her eyes. "Does she look like she's here to you?" She yelled.

"Why are you making such a big deal. It's only Dupain-Cheng for crying out loud!" Chloe 'tried' to reason.

"Shut up Chloe." Dead silence.
Nathaniel slammed his hand on the table, his face as red as his hair. "What.. What just happened? Can someone please explain what had just happened?" He begged, silently hoping this was all one big joke.

"Marinette's gone." Alya whispered clutching onto the pink ribbon. "It's my fault..."

"Now that is just ridiculous, Alya." Nino started, "I know you're confused- hell, we all are. But this is not your fault! You have done absolutely nothing wrong. We had no idea that any of this was ever going to happen today and even if we did, what could we have done? It's not like we are Ladybug and Chat Noir, we're just teenagers..." Nino finished his rant and Alya had gasped, her eyes widening."

"Oh my god... This entire time and she never even told me. She knew how much Ladybug meant to me." Alya scrunched her eyes shut and turned away from the class.

"What are you talking about, Alya?" Max asked confused.

Alya scrambled across to her phone and clicked onto the search engine. She raised her hand to her mouth in shock. "I see it now... You will all see too." Alya raised her phone towards the class. "She had called that creature 'Alhazz' as in the god of luck." She read from her phone and the class tilted their heads confused.

"What does that little red creature have to do with Marinette then?" Alix bluntly questioned.

"Alhazz is the god of luck but once an incredible darkness spread throughout the planet and Alhazz had used up all her power and once defeated, had sent her 'miraculous' into the world and whoever Alhazz had chosen was destined to bring down the darkness." Alya explained.

Adrien began to understand.

"What is going on..." Rose muttered while Juleka rubbed her back soothingly.

"What does all this nonsense mean?!" Chloe angrily shouted.

"IT MEANS THAT MARINETTE IS LADYBUG!" Alya snapped, her eyes glowing red as she saw through the truth. "She couldn't even tell me... her own friend."

The class erupted into mayhem.

Adrien's heart stopped. And just like that, he was out and the darkness that was in him had never felt more like home.
