3 Months Later

Chanyeol:

"You're quiet. Are you feeling OK?" Kai said as he came to sit down next to me. His dogs were outside in the garden playing with Toben and Taemin was at dance practice. I shrugged to answer his question because I didn't know what to say. "You aren't sick are you? Coz if you're sick and you give me something, Taemin will kill me. His comeback is soon." He looked at me seriously and I chuckled.

"I'm not sick." I said.

"Good. Just making sure." He leaned his shoulder on mine and we stared out at our dogs rolling around in the grass. "You've been like this since you came back from Bucheon." He said softly.

"Have I?"

"That was months ago, Chanyeol." There wasn't even an answer for that loaded question. I could feel it in the air even though he hadn't asked it.

"I'm just tired." Kai lifted his head off my shoulder and looked at me like he didn't believe me, but it was true. I WAS tired. So tired... I sighed and let myself fall back so I was lying on the floor. Toben came over a few moments later to lick my face.

"Toben..." I complained, but I cuddled him closer.

"Are you going to come to Kyungsoo's party?" Kai asked me and I sighed.

"Maybe?" I replied.

"Maybe?!"

"I don't feel like going out much lately." I said and Kai reached out so he could feel my forehead.

"You don't have a fever."

"I told you I'm not sick." I raised my eyebrow at him as Toben licked the side of my face again.

"You can't not be. This isn't like you. Did you go to a doctor?" I grunted as I got up off the floor.

"Thanks for letting Toben play with your babies." I said and Kai looked at me with his mouth hanging open.

"You're going?"

"I have somewhere to be." I lied.

I was vegging out in front of my TV when my phone rang. I answered it without looking at the caller ID.

"Yeobuseyeo?"

"Chanyeol." A deep voice answered.

"Kyungsoo-ah."

"Why is Kai telling me you aren't coming to my party?" I laughed bitterly.

"Because he's a nosey son of a - "

"You're coming. I already paid for your meal." He said tersely and hung up. I glared at my phone. Did he really just... I was still staring at it when it rang again and this time my sister's name popped up on the screen.

"Yoora." I answered and she hmmed. I could still hear her typing so she must still be at work. "Yoora?" I tried again.

"Sorry, I was going through proposals." She muttered and I heard a few more clicks until they stopped completely.

"I thought Baekhyun gave you a secretary to do all that stuff." I mumbled and she sighed heavily.

"She's great but she can miss things sometimes." A few weeks after I'd come back to Seoul, Yoora had filled me in on everything that had been going on while I was moping alone in my room. The merger had finally taken effect. Personnel had been shifted around and the biggest change of all? Baekhyun had given his shares to Yoora. She had been as shocked as I was. Even with his father gone, I had expected Baekhyun to stay on as the CEO, despite not marrying my sister. He had only stayed on for a little while to help pave the way for Yoora who was now the company's first female CEO. From what I heard he still stopped by to help with things, but he had left Yoora with his father's secretary and no one knew what he was doing now.
