jaebeom was falling, very very fast.

the bar was silent as he and youngjae stepped inside, all except for the music playing faintly over the speakers. on weekends they had live music, but tonight when only the bartender and two other men were there, they played a playlist off of spotify. keeping to the bar's theme, paul anka's "put your head on my shoulder" was playing.

the two other costumers barely spared youngjae and jaebeom a glance as they sat at the bar. the bartender walked over to them and asked them what they wanted to drink, and youngjae ordered himself and jaebeom two whiskeys. as they received their drinks, jaebeom glanced around the place, realizing how long it'd been since he'd been there.

"so where's the dancing part?", youngjae asked after downing the entire glass of whiskey with a straight face. jaebeom bit his bottom lip and pointed behind him to the glossy, and completely empty, dance floor. youngjae's obsidian eyes immediately brightened.

"let's go", he said, standing up and pulling on jaebeom's arm. the human shook his head, face burning. youngjae pouted in a way that didn't match his dark facade. "why not?"

"no one else is dancing", jaebeom whispered. the demon laughed quietly, shaking his head slightly like he couldn't believe jaebeom would be worried about such a thing.

"then they're the ones missing out, hm?"

youngjae gave jaebeom's arm a final tug and the human went stumbling after him as the demon led him to the dance floor.

youngjae slid his arm around jaebeom's waist easily, intertwining their fingers with his other hand. jaebeom was frozen, staring at the demon that was only inches away, his face burning red. youngjae smiled, a personal, beautiful, genuine smile, and jaebeom was falling, falling, falling....

he moved his free hand to youngjae's shoulder and moved ever so closer, following the demon's lead and swaying to the music. every other sound was drowned out, the only thing jaebeom could hear being the slow song playing over the speakers and youngjae's steady breathing. with every step and sway, they moved closer to each other, until youngjae's head was dipped in the crook of jaebeom's shoulder and jaebeom closed his eyes, his lips brushing against youngjae's ear.

they danced for what felt like forever, and jaebeom finally took the final leap and fell in love.

"now this is fun."

jinyoung rolled his eyes at the dark haired demon standing on the train tracks next to him. he kept glancing behind them to make sure no train was coming, even though he spent a lot of time at those train tracks and had the schedule memorized. nothing would be coming for a long while, but there was something about this demon that gave jinyoung a feeling of bad luck.

yugyeom yelped as one foot slipped off the track and he grabbed jinyoung's shoulder to steady himself, smiling sheepishly when the human stared at him wide-eyed. "sorry."

"it's fine", jinyoung answered. yugyeom stood up straight, removing his hands from jinyoung's shoulder. "you should be more careful."

"i'm already dead."

"okay, and?"

yugyeom burst out laughing at that, as he jumped off the tracks and onto solid ground. jinyoung was frozen as he listened to the demon laugh; it came out in little spurts of high pitched giggles that were much too adorable for something that came from the depths of hell.

yugyeom caught jinyoung's eyes trained on him and smirked. "what?", he asked, tilting his head cockily. jinyoung flushed and quickly looked away, eyebrows furrowing as he did so. this only made yugyeom chuckle more.
