*Klaus's Point of View*

Words couldn't describe my feelings.

I was so relieved about everything. I was so relieved that Klara had accepted the news well. I was so relieved that I told her the secret.

And the best part was hearing her say she still loved me...
I had never felt better in my life.

"Klaus- Come downstairs- I have... news." Rebekah barged into my room with a tear stained face. My happy thoughts and my smile faded straight away.
"Rebekah! What's the matter!?" I didn't know what was going on as I shot upright in my bed.

"JUST COME DOWNSTAIRS, NIKLAUS!"

I immediately jumped up from my bed and followed my sister down the stairs.
Elijah was sat on the sofa with his head in his hands, and Rebekah ran beside him and sat down.

"What's going on Elijah? TELL ME! I demand to know, NOW." I was beginning to get impatient.
"Both of you stop shouting. It's our Father, Klaus... He has found us..." Elijah had a streak of fear in his eyes, which meant this was really bad- he was never afraid.
I felt a mixture of fear, anger, and anxiety bubble in my stomach.
"What? How do you know? Have you seen him?" I started to pace around the living room.
"He was in the town square... By the stalls... He noticed me and I darted... The last thing I heard was him shouting my name, then I was in the woods, running..." Rebekah was a mess of tears. We had been running from our father for a long time, he wanted us dead... and he would stop at nothing...
"Niklaus... It is only a matter of time before he finds the house... we are leaving tomorrow..." Elijah spoke in a low tone, as if him saying it quietly would make it all different.

"WHAT? NO! I CAN'T LEAVE! WHAT ABOUT KLARA!" Tears of pure anger started fiercely streaming down my face, which embarrassed me greatly.

"Klaus, you'll have to leave her. I am so sorry. I know you love her..." Rebekah had stood up and was staring right at me. She really did look sorry.

"Where are we going...?" I stopped shouting, and looked back at my sister.
"New Orleans..." Elijah whispered. My eyes grew wide.

"NEW ORLEANS!? BUT ITS SO FAR! ITS NOWHERE NEAR ENGLAND!" I lost control. I knocked all the accessories off the top of the mantelpiece by our fire place.
"I know a place where we can stay... he will never find us there... Never." Elijah had started to tear up now just like Rebekah and me.
"Go and say goodbye to Klara, Klaus..." Rebekah tried to hug me, but I hit her away.

"Fine. I'm going." I grabbed a little leather bag and left without hesitation heading straight to Klara's home.

"Hello Klara. Won't you come with me?" Klara opened the door looking beautiful, as always. It brought a lump to my throat, just as it did when I told her my secret.

"Klaus? Are you alright?" Klara questioned, taking my hand, and following me out the door.
"Lets go to the barn house." I replied bluntly , ignoring her question.

"Okay- we are here, now tell me what's wrong!" We sat against the hay bales in the barn, like we usually did.

I took a deep breath. "My worst fear was- is- losing you, Klara. I always thought it would be you leaving me." I stopped to wipe a tear away.
"My siblings and I moved to this little place some fifty eight years ago. I thought we had found the perfect home. I was sure we had. I was wrong." Klara stared at me in distraught as I continued. "We have been running for hundreds of years from my father. He wants us dead. We found this perfect place... And I knew I'd love it." I thought back to the day we moved to there. I was so scared... So alone...
"I came here to this barn everyday up until now. My Father has found us... He is here... We must leave." As I finished, Klara shook her head and tried to speak.
"No Klaus- you can't leave me- PLEASE!" She was breaking down.
"I'm leaving tomorrow... I came to say goodbye to you. You won't see me again... I won't be back here... Not in your lifetime..." Klara sat still in silence. I thought she may protest further, she opened her mouth.
"Hey Klaus... this is where we first met.You saved me here." I saw Klara smile, a sad smile.
"You're right. You almost fell down the ladder. We sat here for hours." I remembered back to the day when the most beautiful girl appeared in my barn house. It was the best day of my life. "Klara... being with you has been the most wonderful two years of my life. I have to move on from England- But I will not move on from you- Ever." I pulled Klara into a kiss. Our final kiss.
"I'm going to miss you so much, Klaus." Klara was grabbing my waist and kissing me more than ever before.
"Wait... Before I go- I made something." I pulled something out from the little bag I was carrying around.
I handed it to Klara and she gazed in awe.
"I drew it... A while after I met you." I looked at the beautiful girl in front of me.
"It's us Klaus. It is beautiful... This was the night we sat on The barn roof, gazing at the sunset." She explained. I nodded, and stood up.
"When you wake up tomorrow- I will be gone. Forever. Have that to remember me. Goodbye, Miss Klarabelle. I love you."
And with that, I jumped down the ladder and rushed home, before my father appeared.

I always remembered hearing Klara shouting: "You are a drug."

And I quietly whispered back, "I can't give you up." just like she had done before.

It was all over.
