A BETTER DAY.

After the sun, came the rain.
Washed up every pain,
All down the drain
and so hoped for a better day.

The war was finally over,
We were all a little older
and it made us boulder,
as we awaited a better day.

Daylight came more hopeful
The people more joyful
Some just mindful;
and doubtful of a better day.

I prayed to God everyday,
For the sins I couldn't pay,
but Jesus made a way
for a better day.

The day is finally here,
look at the faces over there.
There's love and joy everywhere;
Great is going to be this new year.
