i clearly remembered packing my scarf with me but i couldn't find it anywhere and i'm starting to panic.. bc without it.. i feel so helpless

" oh no we need to leave now and i can't find it anywhere " i groaned. i feel so frustrated and stupid for forgetting about the most important thing. i was usually so careful with these kind of stuff but the trip excited me so much i couldn't keep my mind calm even for a night.
taehyung tried to calm me down while helping me to find it before we leave for malta.
" ah i don't think it's in there.. but it's fine, i have an extra one you can use " taehyung got up to his feet and was surprised to see me tearing up.
" ik that scarf is important to you but we have to go now boram " he picks up his extra scarf and begins wrapping it around my neck.
" don't cry boram " he cooed while hugging me.
something traumatizing happened to me while i was younger and the only person outside my family who knew it was taehyung, my bestie.
while i was younger, i used to always play with my dad in the woods during the summer breaks. it happened when we played hide and seek. i was the hider and he was the seeker.
i hid in one of the large bushes that dad told me to stay away from which i didn't listen because i thought he was only joking. i covered my mouth to stop myself from laughing, i knew he could never find me and i will win.
that's when the skin in my arms started to become warm and uncomfortable. i frowned and looked down at it, horrified to see the last skin dangling on my arm. i screamed and dad immediately turn towards the sound.
" BORAM !!!! WHERE ARE YOU COME OUT NOW PLEASE DONT SCARE DADDY LIKE THAT "
dad turned towards the rustling of leaves in the other bushes.. which isn't created by me. dad screamed out my name and ran towards the bush.
a green skinned snake with big white fangs poking out of its healthy red gum slither towards dad. he backed away and raise his gun slowly. the snake attacked at the sight of the gun. happy with the result, the snake slithered away, happy to take down a man all on its own. i made sure to not make any sound and waited for the creature to disappear before running towards him.
" dad!!! DADDD IM SO SORRY " i sobbed. dad lie on the cold hard dirty ground. his eyes travelled from my sobbing eyes to my arm. he raised his hand and held my arm, letting the last of his powers do the rest of the work to heal my awfully injured arm.
a wizard or witch will not only become non magical human but also lose years of their lives after he or she loses the last of their powers.
because of me.. dad lost all his healing powers. because of me.. dad passed on. the last gift he gave to me before passing was the scarf that i treasure very much and i can't travel anywhere without it.
but the way taehyung wrapped it around my neck reminds me of dad.
