Chapter 23

Michael
One Month Later...

"Where are you going, Michael?" India asked as she followed me down the stairs.

"I'm just going to the studio, I'll be back in an hour." I said grabbing my fedora and putting it on.

"But I thought you were going to take some time off from the studio?" She asked, crossing her arms.

"Baby I am. I'm going to spend these two weeks with you, Ava and the baby before I go off on tour." I said, caressing her stomach. She then looks down and I grabbed her arms.

"Look baby, I'll only be gone for an hour." I said softly. She looks up at me with sad eyes.

"Hey, why don't you take Ava to the mall and buy her that Teddy Bear she wanted. Ok?"

She nods. "Ok."

I pulled out my wallet and took out one of my credit cards. "Here take this, it's yours from now on."

She looks down at it then back up at me. "You know I can't that..."

"You can and you will, buy whatever you want with it." I said putting it her hand. I then pulled her close to me and kissed her forehead.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

I smiled as I brush some of her hair back. "Don't forget to take your vitamins baby."

She nods. "I won't."

I kissed her lips softly and I made my way to the front door and walked out as she stood there watching me get inside the limo.

"So Mike, where are you going?" Bill asked and sighed.

"To the Plaza Hotel."

Ugh! I hate it when he goes to the studio and leave us alone here in the house. Damn, I miss him already. I hear small footsteps hitting against the stairs and approaching the kitchen.

"Mommy, where's Daddy?" She asked, looking around and I sighed.

"Daddy's at the studio." I replied. She makes a face.

"B-But I thought he was going to stay home with us today?" She asked sadly.

"He is, and he'll be back in an hour baby. Hey, your dad wants me to take you to the mall to get you that teddy bear that you wanted."

She smiled widely. "Yay! I can't wait to go mommy!"

I giggled. "Ok baby, why don't you go upstairs and get out your night gown and go get ready, ok?"

"Ok!"

She runs off and after taking my vitamins and drinking a glass of water. I head upstairs and take a quick shower. After my shower, I put on my bra and panties before putting on lotion. I walked over to the closet and pulled out my white sundress and cute sandals.

Michael will be going on tour in two weeks and he promised Ava and I that he's going to spend it with us but lately he's just been going to the studio a lot. I don't want to stop him from going because after all, he's a musician and I know he adores his music and fans, and I don't want to come between that, but then again, he has a family now and we need him here with us.

The baby... I mean babies are doing great. Michael and I found out that we were expecting twins! Honestly, I'm a bit scared but excited at the same time of being a Mother again. Michael has been such a sweetheart. He's been very supportive, patient and understanding.
