The next few years went by in a flash. Charlie and I went on at least 50 play dates, several vacations, and even had our first kiss with each other. I will do more explaining as the chapter progresses. Charlie and I were the type of kids with very big imaginations. I am going to recall a few of the events that really stick out.

When I was four, my mom and Kathy decided to move in to a house right next to each other. So for eleven years, I have been neighbors with Blake and Charlie. Do they ever annoy me? Yes! We see each other at least once a day, not including school. So you could imagine my annoyance. I love them and all, but sometimes I need my space. Anyways, we have a tree house in the backyard, that's where Charlie and I normally do our homework. When we were four, we would sleep out there in my Hello Kitty blanket and his Buzz Lightyear sleeping bag, just Charlie and I. Our parents eventually somehow managed to put beds out there, but that was when we were 5.

One of the nights I was sleeping out there, we kept hearing noises outside. I started freaking out so Charlie held my hand. It turned out to be Blake, trying to scare us. From that point on, I knew he would always be there for me and keep me safe. It felt nice having our hands together. Back then, yes I had a crush on him. Somewhere along the way, though, I found myself falling for his annoying brother. I guess you could say it was because he is the most popular guy in the school.

When I was six, we were in the same kindergarten class. A kid named Hunter stole my treasured Cinderella pencil case. I was so angry and mad, I started crying. Charlie noticed this, and made him write me a note saying how sorry he was. He also made him give me back my pencil case, along with one of Hunter's own pencils.

We learned how to ride bikes at the same age, seven. Well, we would always take our bikes to the playground. During one of the rides, I fell off my bike and scraped my knee badly. Charlie got off his and asked if it would feel better if he kissed it. Since I had a crush on him at the time, I said yes.

At the playgrounds, we would play a game where we could not touch the ground because it was "hot lava". We would spend majority of our day there. That was where we had our first kiss. I remember it like it happened just yesterday. At the time, we were only 8. Neither of us had ever been kissed, so we wanted to see what it felt like.

It was a very sunny day. There was no sign of any clouds in the sky. We had just finished playing a 2 hour game of hide and seek and were exhausted. We went to go sit on the bench to discuss the new Phil of the Future episode.

"I loved the new Phil of the Future! Did you?" Charlie asked.

"Yeah, it was awesome! The kiss was weird, though." I stated.

"I was about to say the same thing. Have you ever been kissed?" he asked, curiously.

"No.. Have you?" I asked, surprised that he had asked me that.

"No... I've always wondered how it would feel... Um....." Charlie suddenly became really shy. His cheeks were becoming very rosy by the minute. His eyes were cast down. I had never seen him this way before. Since I was only 8, I didn't really catch that he wanted to kiss me.

"Why are you suddenly red?" I asked confused.

"Uh.... Can I kiss you?" Charlie whispered. He finally looked into my eyes.

"Yes." I stated. His head slowly made his way towards mine. It felt like one of those moments in the movies. It felt like it was all in slow motion. When our lips finally met, I felt like there was a spark. It was a short and sweet kiss that only lasted two seconds, but it was an amazing kiss. You could tell he also thought so, because he was shocked. Then he started smiling.

"No wonder people kiss so much. I liked that." He said shyly.

"Me too." I replied, just as shyly. After that kiss, I liked him even more. But like I said earlier, something happened and I suddenly started liking Blake.

You are probably asking "what happened, Charlotte?" When we were thirteen we were invited to a party. At this party there was barely any parents watching us, so we decided to play spin the bottle. Well, when Charlie spun it, I was secretly hoping it would land on me, but it never did. Instead, it landed on Katie. She is one of those girls that are on the cheerleading squad and gossip about people all the time. So when they kissed, it lasted for about a minute and both of them seemed to enjoy it a lot. I could feel my heart tearing apart inside my chest. After the party, he asked her to be his girlfriend. I kind of thought he liked me, but I guess he never did. So they started dating, and I grew to like Blake.
