The Modern History of Lion

In the modern history of Lion it has been quiet. Yes the trees have killed those who do not respect its boundaries or attack the people within it who cares for them but many are not so ignorant to make that mistakes. Gentle but firm rulers ruled and peace was there for awhile despite the occasional piksa raid.

Until the Great War in 975 A.M. forces from southern kingdoms were seen moving up to the north ready for war.

Queen Julissa was ruling at the time (and is ruling now) quickly went into talks with the Royalty from the old alliance*. They quickly remembered their fore-rulers promise and agreed the forces needed to be stopped. They also agreed to shelter innocent piksas who wanted no part in the war. It was a bloody war and ended in 986 A.M with heavy casualties on both sides.

With the skilled archers of Lion they helped turned the tide and keep the enemy trapped between Estria and Hisrial in the final battle of the war, The Battle of Castle Field.

*The old alliance consists of Lion, Hisrial, Islath and Estria. They once had a castle to meet in that was destroyed in a battle three generations ago.
