chapter 10

when we went back to the house it was pretty clear that every one was asleep so we went up to bed too. when i woke up I was alone so i went into the bathroom to brush my hair and teeth so that i wasn't revolting when i went downstairs. when i was done and went back into the bedroom to get changed there was an odd feeling, almost electric. i checked all around the room to see if any one was there but there wasn't. this feeling was very familiar to me. Vampire.

" where are you?!" i called out. no answer. then there was a small breeze by my face and in front of me stood a tall man.

"I'm surprised you knew i was here." he said

"ya- well a nix is able to detect that type of stuff." i said trying not to move to much.

he circled me. 'please come. please come.' i thought to myself

"whats wrong love. you sound scared." he said reading my mind

"only BLADE can call me that." i spat emphasizing his name so he could hopefully hear me.

"Oh but why. Your so lovely." The man said toying with my hair. I swatted his hand.

"You have no right to be here!" I yelled. He put his hand over my mouth and in a swift motion he grabbed my waist and spun me around so my back was pressed up against his chest.

"Shh." he said "we wouldn't want any interruptions would we dear."

"Actually I would love one." I said struggling. I managed one arm free and grabbed his neck and pushed his face to the footboard then dragged him to the bed and sat on his back still holding his neck "I might be very polite and feminine but I can kick a lot of ass. So I suggest you leave my house right now." I nailed his back with my elbow and stood up and put him in a death grip. Blade walked in.

"What the hell is-" he just stood there. then he was behind me. He slowly slipped my arm from the vampires torso and replaced it with his then did the same with my other arm that held his death grip. "Good job love." he said. Then I cringed remembering what the vampire had said. "Now let's get this done then shall we?" he said "love there's a rope under my bed. Would you be a dear and grab it." I bent down and reached for it and felt the rope. It was frayed but looked sturdy. "Good girl." blade said. I crooned at the way his voice sounded. He tied the vamps arms then his feet and had him sprawled out on the bed.

"Why are you here!" he barked

"For amy of corse. Why els would I be here?" the man asked

"And why the hell do YOU want MY amy!" he said beginning to turn a dark shade of grey. He wasn't mad, he was threatened, because he had almost lost me. I was in shock, but probably not as much as he was.

"Blade. What should we do with him?" I said drawing nearer to him to try to sooth him. he resisted.

"No love I don't want to calm down right now. If I'm calm he's stronger than me and that can't happen not when your in danger." he was searching his drawer now. He pulled out a small ruby incrusted dagger. It was utterly beautiful. He moved swiftly to the man or vampire. Silver wood. The only wood that is a 100% chance on killing any paranormal creature. He held it to his chest. "Why do you want amy." he said through gritted teeth.

"I told you last time I need her for my master." He said drawing his eyes to the dagger. Within moments the dagger was in his heart.

"Wow." I said still in shock.

"He wasn't good at fetching you for his master." He said drawing the dagger out of his bloody chest. "He won't be happy to hear he died from lack of intelligence."

He opened his arms for me. I ran to him almost nocking both of us over. He kissed the crown of my head then rested his chin on me, rocking us back and forth. It's wasn't long till I realized I was crying. He lightly pulled my chin up so I cloud get a better look at him. "Shhh." he said "it's ok. Your safe now. Did he hurt you?" His breathing was shaky and his body was trembling. He shouldn't be the one comforting me, I should be comforting him. "No. Blade are you ok?" I said looking up with a half smile.

"Yes amy I'll be ok. Shhh. You should rest now." he said drawing me closer.

"Blade I just woke up." I said in protest.

"Verry well then." He said drawing in a shaky breath "come downstairs." he said. We went downstairs to find ash tying up another man.

"You're little friend is dead." blade said coldly. Ash looked up and cringed.

"I've never been fond of my brothers style but it seems I have underestimated him." Ash said. He drew a long black and silver pocket knife. He slit the vampires arm.

"Wait!" the vamp said. "I know why, master wants amy." He said. Ash shifted behind him so blade could talk face to face.

"He. He said she's ready? that she can take her true form now. what ever that means. " He said starting to hyperventilate.

"Is that all?" Blade asked.

"He said that she's doing well. That's all I swear. " He said.

"Do it." Blade ordered ash. Ash took the knife and slit his throat then hacked at it. His head was clean off. "That takes care of that. "

"Blade what does he mean?"

"It means your in the final stage of growth" blade said

"But I thought that was only for angels". I asked

"No it's for nyxes too" he said.

There was a sudden nocking at the door.

"It's Luna. let me in!"

"It's open!" Blade yelled.

Luna is a "family friend" she takes care of certain things and she travels a lot so we don't see her much but she stays here when she arrives home.

She walked in. I just kinda couldn't stop looking at her. I know I've seen her like only a million times but she is just so stunning. She has violet hair that was thick on the top and thin underneath, kinda like the emo hairstyles you see other goths or emo's with. She had on a black Lacey dress with a short flowing skirt. And black monster heals. Luna was also a reaper. Which meant she could see spirits and was also one to decide if the person should die if there was a death happening close by. Which granted the circumstances happened a lot.

"Oh god almighty and everything that is holy!" Luna said as she walked in the door. She stopped and stared. "What happened here?" She asked still staring at the dead body.
"We had some vampire visitors." Ash had said.
"I'm pretty damn surprised ash I didn't think you where capable of this." Luna said giggling. "Ah hey for one I didn't do this. Kinda. Maybe. Yes I did. But I didn't like it." Ash said a little nervous.

"Well I do say. I'm impressed." Luna said crossing her arms. "We should probably get rid of this." blade said speaking up. "Leave it to me I got this." Luna said. It's was a specialty of hers to take care of this stuff. Ash went and got a bag from the closet. "Since when do we have the supplies to cover a homicide?" I asked. "Since last week." Blade said. "Why?" I asked. "Because Luna had heard of a gang looking for you." ash said. "That's right. I knew something was going to happen. Nothing like angel and her visions but I had a premonition." Luna said crossing the room so she could grab the bag from ash. "Speaking of angel. Where are they." I said. "They are still sleeping." blade said. "Really?" I looked at the clock. It was 9:00 in the morning. "They are normally up by now" I said.

"I'll go see if they are actually awake." I said. I turned to the steps and when I got to the door I heard voices.

"What do you want with us." a muffled voice said
