Twelve minutes later

There were police cars everywhere, including numerous members of Atlas. Phil was being interrogated by some Atlas workers and Diane was talking to the Head Police Officials. Joy was standing nervously around the sides of the diner. Robyn noticed her and walked over to where she was standing.

'Hey Joy.'

'Hey Robyn.'

'Thanks... for... well, saving me. You did good.'

'Thanks.' She stared at all the Atlas workers, and the police cars. 'Wow. This is where you work?' Robyn nodded. 'This is so cool. I've always wanted to be a policeman. I've just.. never found the money for the intuition fees.'

'Yep. I was head of my class in training and I received a invite to join Atlas, and... well, here we are.'

Joy nodded, and started staring at Phil.

'Why do you think he wanted to kill you so bad, other than being a hitman, of course.'

'We have... a bit of history. He joined Atlas the same time as me, and we were co-workers. We had to do a lot of cases together, and all those sort of things. We became good friends, but once, on a case, Phil was invited to join one of the gangs we were trying to put in jail, and he accepted. He wanted me to join as well, but I declined, and a few months later I caught him and most of his other gang members in jail, and he's never forgiven me about it.'

Joy put a hand to her mouth. 'That's terrible. But wait... up you said  "most of his other gang members". What happened to the rest?'

'We don't know. They've not been doing anything, so we've assumed that the others ran away. Does it matter?'

'No, no.'

In the background Phil started shouting loudly and fighting the police officers. Robyn ran over and tackled him to the ground, and shoved him in the police car. Joy started walking over too, but she was intercepted by Diane.

'Excuse me, Miss? Is there anything I can do for you?'

'Yes, my name is Diane, I am in charge of the business called Atlas, which by now you would have heard of.'

'It's nice to meet you.'

'Likewise' They shook hands.

'What did you want to speak to me about, Diane?'

'Well, recently I gather you have become... friends with my employee, Robyn?'

'Yes, and?'

'I just hope you know that it was very dangerous and irresponsible for her to bring you along here?'

'Well... yeah. But honestly, she had no idea that Phil was coming here!'

Diane sniffed. 'I suppose so. I guess I should thank you, though. Phil may have just got out of prison, but Atlas has been wanting to take him in to ask a few questions anyway, and you have him to us on a frying pan.' Joy laughed. 'But seriously, Joy. I don't think that you should continue this whole 'sidekick' thing with you and Robyn. She has a job to do, and, even though you have proved that you are capable, I think that you will only trip her up.'

'Bu... But... I'

Robyn ran over. 'Hello, Diane. Hey Joy. Have you introduced each other yet?'

'Yes, I think that we got along just fine. Goodbye, Robyn. Farewell, Joy.' And she walked over to the other police officers.

'Well, Joy. I think I have to head back over to Atlas and check up on things. I'll see you sometime! Bye!'

'Bye...'
