Joy sat in her room, thinking about the past few days. She had felt so upset when Alex died, but that one night that she spent with Robyn, it made her feel better. But, now that Diane was making sure that anything like that couldn't happen again, she felt sad again. 'I've got to stop thinking ahead of myself! I'm not a policeman, or part of Atlas, I can't possibly think that I ever had a chance of... doing what Robyn does. I can't believe I've been so stupid!'
Bring!
Joy got up to answer the doorbell, and saw Robyn, looking disheveled and exhausted, but she was smiling like a maniac, holding numerous sheets and files.
'R-Robyn? What are you doing here? I thought you-'
'Were banned by Diane to come here, yeah, I know, blah blah blah. But listen, Joy! I really think I'm on to something! Before we had our talk in the restaurant yesterday, I had no clue what to look for, but remember what you said!'
'Robyn, I don't think you should be he-'
'You said that they would leave a clue, a note or a letter to the people they know, telling them that they're going to commit suicide! But, nobody left a trace, and I think that's because they had no idea that they were going to commit suicide!'
'Robyn, you're not making any sense here-'
'Joy! Don't you understand!'
'Not really, no.'
'It means it's murder, Joy! It's murder!'
'I don't see how that's important.'
Robyn gaped at Joy.
'Honestly, Joy! First day on the job, and you have already proved to me that it may have not been the best decision to argue all night with Diane to make you my personal apprentice! You'd better up your game, Joy, trust me, if you don't prove to be a good and faithful apprentice Diane will make sure that you never remember you ever met me!'
'Wait... what?'
'You are officially a temporary junior member of Atlas. Now, back to the case-'
'I'm... in Atlas? Oh my god... I'm in Atlas! I'm in Atlas!!!' Joy jumped up and hugged Robyn.
'Jeez, Joy, calm down! Can we please just continue working on the case? Also, can you let me inside? I'm freezing cold, and also, people are starting to stare at me.'
'Oh, Yeah. Come in!' Joy could barely stop herself smiling.
'Great!' Robyn headed for the Alex's old office room.
'Where are you going?'
'Oh, Yeah! I forgot to mention, I'm moving in.'
'What!?'
'You see, as I'm currently being targeted by hitmen looking to kill me, I have to temporarily move in with you! Isn't that great!' She noticed the look that Joy was giving her. 'So... that's a no then?'
