Seattle, Washington 1927

A siren ran loudly, it's bright lights flashing through the window of Dean's small apartment; the walls echoing it's wails using vibrations and creaks. Dean groaned, aggressively slamming his pillow from under his sweaty head (from his horrible night sweats) onto his face, sweat beads cascaded off of his forehead and onto his nose. From the bed beside his, the little Sam Winchester's eyes fluttered open, a groan equivalently frustrated as Dean's escaped from his mouth. The two gave eachother a knoowing look that read, 'why-the-hell-did-we-decide-to live-here', which gave Dean great guilt for making his little brother live here, in this crappy apartment in downtown Seattle, rather than some top noch mansion out in a big city. Sam understood why they had to live there, and knew it was better than the alternative of living with John Winchester. Sam may have been young, but he understood that their father was hurting Dean beyond repair. Sometimes Dean could tell that Sam was worryied about him, but he tried his hardest not to let it show.

Dean glanced at the clock,  6:45am.  Well, I have to be up anyway, I guess. he thought to himself.
