Chapter 2 Empty

3 years later.....

BOOM! Mystika jumped back from her desk at work. She nearly fallen off of her chair. She looked around to find that everyone was staring at her. She had fallen asleep on her desk. She looked up to see her boss staring down at her.

"Are you alright, Ms. Jones?" Her boss asked as she picked up the files that fallen off her desk.

"Yes! Yes, I'm alright." Mystika said as she put every that fell on the ground back on her desk.

"I've been paging you for five minutes, and when you didn't pick up my phone calls I came out here to see what's the problem. And I see you sleeping here peacefully. I said to myself what should I do? I decided to wake you up. Do you still want a job Ms. Jones?" He said sternly. Mystika looked down. It was real quiet in the office. It was like she can here a pen dropped.

"Yes, sir!" She said.

"In my office now! And bring the Hemmaway's Project, too. Hoping that that you got that prepared." He said sharply and walked back towards his office.

Mystika hurried and grabbed the other files that was all ready arrange with her and followed him to his office. She looked to her right and caught Melody eyes. She mouth if she was alright. She nodded her head before she turn the corner. What was she thinking. Was she out of her mind falling asleep at work. She dreamt she was back in Sparrow Springs and everything was happening all over again. After what happen at the prom, the school was postpone until future notices. Many teens were hurt and few die that night. Mandy began spreading rumors around town saying it was her fault that it happen but no one paid her no mind because they knew she wasn't the cause of it. A couple of weeks pass by before they went back to school. After their graduation, Mystika, Molly, and Melody packed their bag to leave for Boston University in Massachusetts. They received a scholarship there that was willing to pay for everything and they also received financial Aid, too. They were majoring in Anthropology and minor in something else. They work part-time at McKinnons Enterprise a multi-million dollars corporation. Molly work on the twelve floor and Melody and Mystika work on the thirteenth floor.

They enter his office. Marshall Mckinnons was the founder and CEO of the company. His father passed it down to him the eldest. His other brothers, Daniel, Spencer, and Braden were running the other companies his father passed down to them. Micheal McKinnons was behind schedule because his part-time assistant had the urge to fall asleep on her desk. He could see that he scared her when he slammed the files on her desk. He sat behind his desk and gesture for her to sit as well. She was peculiar and strange but a very smart girl. She also is very pretty. There was something about her the was so alluring. He could put a figure on it.

"Okay, I want you to give me all the records from the last projects. Mr. Hemmaway wants to schedule a meeting with our office to let us know where to start." Mr. Mckinnons said. 

He took the reports from her and continue. After five hours, he stop talking and stare at her. She still was bend over her note book until she realize he wasn't saying anything else. She look up from her notes to find him watching her.

"Is there something else you wanted me to put down?" Mystika asked feeling uncomfortable. 

He continue to stare at her. Did she do something wrong again. When she first started here, she ran into his desk and knock over a very priceless antique. He so was angry she thought she was going to be fire right then and there. She was surprised when he let her stay. She try to stay on top of things and not break anything else. It was not like she was clumsy. It was just that he looked like a splitting image of the guy that kissed her at the prom. She couldn't remember his name. But after that faithful day she never saw him again. Just the thought of him put shivered down her spine.
