Julerose: How it all started

A slight crush or something more?

Juleka's POV: I decided that after school that I would walk home. When school was over I was about to head home by myself when I feel someone touch my hand. I turn around to see who it was and find it was my recently made friend "Rose." Once again, I felt a heating feeling start rushing to my face. I shake it away and respond to my friend. *Blushing slightly* "O...oh, h...hello Rose. How are you doing? Is there anything that you needed?"
Rose's POV: I ran up to my friend as I walk out and see her. I grab her hand to get her attention. I hear her ask me a few questions and cheerfully answer my friend. "I'm doing great! Thanks for asking😁😄. How are you doing? I just came by to ask if you wanted to hang out at my house this weekend. You know, so we can get to know each other. Talk about boys, who we like and things like that."
Juleka's POV: I hear what she says and look a bit scared at some of the stuff she says. I got a bit upset when she says something about boys and who we like because I'm pretty sure that I'm a lesbian. I never told anyone but my family about it because they're really the only people that I can trust. But maybe sometime I could tell this new friend of mine. "Oh Yeah, of course. I'd love to get to know you. Also, I'm doing pretty good at the moment. Thanks for asking. No one's ever asked about my well being before." I look at the ground sadly and think about all the times that people have been rude to me.
Rose's POV: I felt really horrible after I heard about the fact that no one's ever cared about her before. I think about how I could cheer her up. {Hugs juleka tightly} "I'm never ever going to let any of that happen to you ever again. Your the coolest friend I've ever had. I also intend to keep you my friend forever and ever and ever!!!" I respond cheerfully, smiling as I see a warm smile appear across my new friend's face. "There's that beautiful smile. 😊😊😊"
Juleka's POV: I take a long pause at what I hear from my new friend. I listen to all of her kind and encouraging words. I felt my face begin to flush with red hot heat again but this time, it was way more intense. [In her mind: Why do I keep feeling this weird hot feeling in my face every time she says something kind to me? There's no way that I could possibly have a crush on her. I just met her and I barely know her. But maybe...just maybe....] *blushes* "Aww, thanks. No one's ever said that to me before. It means alot to me, hearing that from a friend. My first friend to be exact." I smiled brightly after I said that. I could tell she was happy. She was smiling so much that I could've sworn I could see her cheeks starting to tear.
Rose's POV: I turned a little red at this statement that my new friend made. I'm not sure why. Maybe it was because I was just happy to have a real friend that cared for me. *Blushes slightly* "Aww, thanks. I try my hardest to cheer my friends up. I can't wait to hang out this weekend. Bye!" I wave goodbye to my new friend and as I ran I shouted, "MAKE SURE TO BRING YOUR SLEEPING BAG ND PJ'S!!!" After that had been said, I ran off down the street to my house.
Juleka's POV: I watch my friend run off down the street and smile to myself. "I can't wait." Blushing get to myself after my first day and all my thoughts, finally accepting what I've come to realize. I was in love with my best friend.
