Peter parker. A name you heard often, but to be completely honest, you just wanted it out of your head. The things you go through on an everyday basis were getting too out of hand and he knew about it. he knew about it. The fact that he just let it go on was letting the fire inside you grow and grow.
deep inside you still cared about him. you wish he'd talk to you. you wished he wouldn't have just dropped you out of the blue. it's all because of her and he knew it.
"everything is going wrong. my grades are going to shit and drama is getting worse. peter, i-i don't know what to do." you choke out, peters arms around you holding you close as you cried. you felt safe and warm, most importantly you felt loved.
"Y/N, everything's okay, shhh," peter silenced you as you sobbed. you reached for a tissue box, pulling a tissue out, then hugging it like it was the last thing you'll ever hug
"times might be rough, but you're going to get through this. on the bright side, you have me to comfort you, and to hold you. to tell you the worst possible joke or pun that pops into my brain" you both chuckled softly. a few moments pass of calming silence. peters strong hands running softly up and down your back slowly bringing you down from your anxiety attack.
"peter-" you sniff, sitting up wiping some tears away. you realize that you had cried all over peters shirt and you tried but failed at drying it. "it's fine," he whispered grabbing your hand and resting it on your thigh, intertwining his fingers with yours.
"your the best," you laugh softly, resting your head on his chest.
"I know I am,"
Yeah, that guy. he was the sweetest boy you've met. your best friend, someone you couldn't imagine your life without, but was now as distant as possible. seeing him made you overly emotional, so you made the rational decision to avoid him at all costs. you still felt the feelings you had for him. when you two were best friends.
your relationship was tough. you were best friends, but you both knew that there was something else floating in the air, something you guys never put a name on. so you were best friends with feelings (that were never admitted to each other), who hung out every single day. watched a movie together every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
but things have changed.
you were walking down the hall, books in hand, not focusing on the crowd ahead. you had stumbled a few times while making your way down the halls by not looking up, but not looking up was what kept you safe. until you bumped into her.
"um, excuse you?" she said turning around. his girlfriend. the girl that ruined you and peters relationship. the girl that was ruining his life and yours all at the same time, hailey. her blonde, perfect hair flowing perfectly over her shoulder as she turned. her deep blue eyes stared directly into your soul as you stumbled upon your words.
"uh, sorry, w-w-wasn't paying a-attention." you looked back down at you shoes hoping she would drop the whole thing at that. you thought wrong.
"oh look who we have here. the hoe that goes around the school stealing peoples boyfriends." she snarled giving you a dirty look.
"wow for a girl like you, you'd think you would have a better argument." you snapped back looking straight into her eyes with confidence. usually, you'd just let these things slide, but today your mind had a different plan. she laughed rolling her eyes and clearing her throat.
