A Rozen Maiden Asks InuYasha for a Lollipop in a Fruits Basket!?

part 3: The Festival of Magic: Day of Games!

(I tried to catch all of the dumb quote things that changed all of my quotation marks into this little " thing. please tell me if I missed any.)

Kyojumped back, yelling, "WHAT?!" But it was too late. Laurena had gotten all of the people she had taken Maria to get, and she was already lifting them off of their feet, and onto a different continent. Maria and Shiri embraced it, letting the magic gently setthem on their feet. The others, however, fought it with everything they had,and thus got dumped flat on their stomachs, knocking the air out of them. Maria reached a hand out to Kyo. "Sorry, I forgot about that. If you were to just let Laurena take you, she wouldn't have dumped you..."; He got angry, and tried to tug her down, but she held surprisingly firm. "Nice try, kid." She pulled him to his feet and loked around. She was in the precise same spot shehad left when she went to Japan, a few feet into the forest, and to her left was the clearing where the city was. Once it had been an average, modern, well-off American town. Now...

Maria led the way through the trees, opening up a hole in the growth so the others could walk through. Once there, they gasped.

"It was ablaze with light and color. The houses WERE trees, but shaped to the delicate needs of each person. bright lights hung from the trees, along with unique cloths and paper lanterns. And in the center of it all stood two massive stone buildings, which could faintly still read "High School." The name of the town had been scrubbed off, however. Maria explained.

"Not too long ago, this used to be a normal town. But the Gods came to teach us the ways of magic, and the old buildings crumbled. Only the strongest two survived; the schools. The bigger one is a combination of the middle and high school, and the smaller one is the elementary school. Though we don't use them for much anymore. They're mostly used as city council chambers."

InuYasha shrugged. "What are you all staring at? It's nothing that cool. If you think this is cool. you've never seen the villages in the Valley of the Five Gods." Obviously, nobody knew what he was talking about, but they walked on, following Maria. She led them into the smaller of the two schools.

"We're using this building as a type of hotel for those visiting for the festival. If you'll follow me, I'll lead you to your rooms."

She spun on her heel and began briskly walking, and the others had to run to keep up with her. Once she disappeared behind a corner, and they sped up to catch her, and found her waiting for them next to a blue painted door. "This is your room, InuYasha. Kagome, there is a room connected to this one. There are already some sleeping bags and pillows laid out for you, so make yourselves comfortable. The Festival begins at precisely midnight, so be sure to be awake then. Come to the town square for the announcement of the day's activities." She opened the door, and began walking away, motioning for the Sohmas and Tohruto follow her. She said nothing, but led them deep into the school. Eventually she stopped at a well-worn door, her expression serious, but otherwise blank. "This room is a very great honor. Once inside, I'll show you why."

She opened the door and walked in. The room was dark, but she grabbed a candle off of the wall, and lit more candles, lighting the room. It was an ordinary classroom, with some blankets on the floor, but there was a solitary door in the corner. This was painted violet, and had the image of a large eye painted on it.

Kyo backed away. "What is THAT?!" Maria walked over to it, and pulled open the door. "This, my dear Kyonkitchi, is the town's greatest treasure. Come in, it's safe, trust me."

The room was completely dark, even darker than the first. Maria walked to the center of the room, and lit a second candle, letting the glow increase to reveal...a coffin!?

It was made of pure glass, and there was a figure inside. they all backed away at the sight of it. Tohru buried her face in Kyo'sshirt, which made him blush profusely. "You keep a BODY in the room next to us?!"
