The restless night

*Can's room*

The amount of sound and mess that Can was accumulating in his room in the short span of time he had been back was enough to wake the whole neighbourhood and his whole cabinet to be emptied out respectively. He was huffing and puffing as he stormed back home after that brief but damaging confrontation with his boyfriend at the hospital and he still was raging as he packed aimlessly for the camp that was next week and he still had a good full day before he needed to report . This camp had now become an almost necessity to be present for in view of what had happened . Can was angry and it was not merely just the fact that he had been tricked into making a self sacrificial decision on his favourite sport but rather Tinn's less than considerate attempt to manipulate Can. He took out a number of shirts from his drawer and shoved them angrily into his overnight bag , and swung around looking in dismay at the contents that were haphazardly strewn across the floor in all directions. He sighed deeply and flung himself down on the bed and finally tried to register what was it that he needed to do objectively . He admitted he was angry but this decision to join the team for the camp was not an act of vengeance but rather to prove to Tinn of his independence and the need for the latter to realise that Nic was in no way a threat to this relationship. His thoughts were interrupted with the loud vibration of his phone that he had left unattended on the bedside table. He stretched his hand over to reach for the phone and pulled it to his face , with the sudden onslaught of bright light making his eyes hurt .Can squinted his eyes and saw in bold loving letters that he had saved his beloved name, Tinn , staring back at him. Can could sense Tinn's desperation in contacting him simmering through the phone , yet it was not within his plan to forgive him just yet . He sighed and switched  his phone off before smothering it with pillows. A sudden knock jolted him back to his senses as he turned in irritation at the intruder who was his Sister nursing her phone in her palms cautiously hold it towards him in an awkward position as though capturing an image of him .

" What do you want Lay ?" snapped Can .
" P'Can !! What are you doing making so much noise and look at the mess that you have made !!"  Making a 360 degree turn with her phone infront of her , as though to take a panoramic shot of the surrounding .
" What the !!! Are you on a video call ? Out!!" Screamed Can as he shoved Lemon out of his room . Can was pissed at how Tinn was up to his tricks again and seeing how he had just been lied to , was hopping mad ! He wanted to convey that message clearly and give Tinn a small dose of his medicine . Can retrieved his phone from under the pillows, switched it on and took a video of him unlatching his bedroom window; the condemned window that had been locked since the day Nic moved in next door.  The video he posted on his Instagram story and hashtagged it "#naturalair #changeofscenery #1daytocamp" . He smirked at his witty retort and let out a deep sigh .

*Tinn's apartment *

Tinn looked around at the empty apartment that holds fond recent memories of the endearing moments with his cantaloupe, and how hollow and cold it was not with his absence . Tinn hissed at how close he was to succeeding in his plans of getting Can to call off his attendance for the camp on his own accord and be by his side as he consoles him on the paparazzi incident , it was a flawless plan that had high success rate if not for that jerk ,Nic . Tinn whisked out his phone and attempted to once again call Can and even contemplated the idea of calling his Mother-in-law ,aka Can's mother but thought better of it . As he looked at his phone screen in contemplation of who best to contact, a notification appeared ;

" Can'T has a new Instagram feed "
Tinn immediately tapped on the notification and his face paled almost instantly at the image of an open window, which was obviously Can's ,showing an unobstructed view of the room that was directly opposite to it . Tinn griped his phone so hard that the veins on his hands popped out in tension, his deep breathing catching on a quicker pace as he loosed his tie in rage that was heightening his blood pressure. Tinn knew he was gonna have to endure this taunt from his boyfriend for what he had done for a good while before the latter cooled down . Knowing Can , when provoked ,could do some serious damage, needed to be given some space atleast for the time being. Tinn therefore was prepared to pacify him using all means possible and not allow that snake Nic to slither his way into this opportunity.

*Nic's room*

Nic sneezed as he lumbered into the room feeling a cool breeze that blew against his tired frame . He looked around to identify the source of that welcoming breeze and to his pleasant surprise , found that the view from his bedroom was now unobstructed . He quickened his pace towards the window with all the wariness from having spent long consecutive hours at the hospital by his grandmother's bed side ,gradually leaving his body . Nic looked in Can's room in expectation of seeing the face of that individual which he knew would energise him , but found to his dismay that Can'sroom was empty.

*Techno's house *

Techno stared at the albino monkey that stood at his door step carrying with him an overnight bag and wearing an expression of helplessness. Before Techno could do anything about the situation , Can had welcomed himself into his senior's house and demanded to to be housed there for the night before they were to make their way to school for the camp. And on an additional note, Can begged Techno to keep his stay a secret from anyone in desperation and refused to answer any questions as to the reason why. Techno was flabbergasted at the whole situation and knowing how Can was acting not too uncharacteristically,relented. Right after Techno complied with just a nod ,this runaway, who went on to make himself very comfortable in his senior room by diving straight into the bed ,forced himself into a self induced suffocation masked as sleep. From Can , as much as he wanted to get back at Tinn ,was not going to betray the latter ultimately and felt that he was not actually going to be in his own room that was in such close approximation with Nic and thought to hide out at Techno's place for the time being . Having not said a word to his family members , he was sure that his trail was pretty well hidden from his resourceful boyfriend.
Techno sighed and scratched his head in exasperation as he stared at the lifeless body that was sprawled across his bed, he considered how only a couple of moments ago he was on a video conference with his Kla, running through what he was gonna pack for the camp and the next moment he was housing an uninvited guest. Just as Techno ended that thought his phone vibrated prompting him to answer it , he was not surprised to see Kla's profile picture in the centre requesting for a video call . He turned it on and in a voice that was as sweet as honey:

Kla :" P'No what did Can want ? .. Wait is that him ON YOUR BED?"  Kla's voice escalated drastically as he strained his neck to look into the background .

Techno : " Err.. he needed a place to stay and ya .. he is" ..he basically had no idea how he was going to bring himself to explain it to anyone without them jumping to conclusion.

Kla: "P' it's either he gets to a hotel or you go sleep with Nic for tonight . I am coming over right this minute if you are gonna be sleeping in your room with him in it tonight !"

Techno: " Kla wait ..wait! you have dinner with your family tonight remember ? I will bunk in with Nic ok ? And tomorrow morning I will just hail a taxi and get us both to school in time for reporting hour"

Kla:" Grrrr!! I am not happy about this at the least bit. Will call Nic .. and I will pick you up for the camp tomorrow.. Along with him!"

Techno let out a long sigh after pacifying Kla for what seemed like forever and headed over to Nic's room , but not before glaring at Can's back . The thoughts that ran through his mind could not have been more than the amount that accumulated in Pete's mind that very evening as he jostled around in his bed wondering how Ae would be at arms length from  Chompoo's magnetic paws.

It was turning out to be a Long unsatisfying night for everyone on the team and to be honest everyone off it as well.
