To the Bitter End| A short Miraculous Fanfic

Four-Final

She woke up. Breathing in and then out.

"What happened?" Marinette asked.
"We should probably discuss this elsewhere." Said Chat unwilling to look her in the eyes.
"Yes. Come to my home." Said Hawkmoth.
Ladybug raised a eyebrow as she looked at Emily and Hawkmoth holding hands. What in the world? She wondered. She all the sudden realized something. Instead of her clad in black partner, was her crush. Or former crush. Adrien Agreste.

"Wait what???!" Yelled Marinette.
"Surprise?"
She slapped him. And Emily broke out into laughter. Everyone stared at her wondering why she was laughing.

"No offense son, but you had it coming to you." She said after laughing.
"Um..I guess." Adrien replied.
"Wait how are we getting down?" Asked Marinette.

"Here." Said Hawkmoth. He detransformed revealing himself to be Adriens father. He put in her hand the ladybug miraculous. Apparently it turned back after he made his wish.
She put it on, and slapped Adrien again before hugging him.

"Stupid cat."
"Are you still mad at me princess?" Adrien asked with uncertainty.
"I will be if you don't transform and carry me." She replied.
"If I were you Adrien, I'd obey." Said his father.
"Yeah yeah.."

He transformed and picked her up just like he did on the night of his confession. He leapt from roof to roof and landed on his home. His father and mother followed and soon they were all inside drinking hot cocoa prepared by Adriens father surprisingly.

"Wait a second you can make cocoa?" Asked Marinette.
"Yes." His father replied.
"Huh." Said Adrien now detransformed.
"Wait can you excuse me." Asked Adrien.
"Um sure?" Replied his mother.

Adrien went to his room and dialed a number. It rang a few seconds before Lila picking up.

"Yes honey?"
"Did you really overhear Alya telling Marinette she's Rena Rouge?"
"I-I..." She stuttered.
"Well?" Adrien asked.
"Yes but it was because she was rude to me and threatened-" she said before Adrien interrupting.
"Shut up." Adrien said forcefully.
"But-"
"Look we're over. Not only are we over but I'm telling the class." Adrien said smirking.
"They won't believe you!" She yelled over the phone.
"Of course they won't. Besides, you know are relationship was only because I was trying to make up a excuse to Marinette. You knew that and took advantage and asked if I was serious. I only answered yes because I didn't feel like having two girls to reject. I told you that a week after." He said.
"You said your feelings for Mari faded!" She screeched.
"To get you to shut up. You have any idea how bad it is to hear you nag?" He said.
"UGH! She will pay! So will you!" Lila said as she hung up.

Adrien smiled. He had recorded the entire conversation. With this, everything should go back to normal. He exited to find Marinette kissing him.

"Wha?" He asked
"My hero." She said beaming.
"Wait you heard that?"
"Yes are you going to ask me or?" She asked smiling.
"Of course. Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked now smiling as well.
"Obviously." She replied.

"Wooooo!" Screamed Mrs. Agreste.
Mr. Agreste clapped and said, "Congratulations."

The next day Marinette happily returned to class. The classmates were confused as to why Adrien held her hand until he showed them the recording. Luckily for them, Lila ran out thinking she could have a akuma to avenge herself. A akuma did arrive but only to tell her off. It was actually hilarious in Hawkmoths opinion. Marinette returned home as Adrien was spending time with his family to write in her diary a happy note for once in a long time.

"Dear diary, I never thought I would be happy again. Adrien showed the class the recording, and they all turned on Lila for lying. Alya also had something to tell me. She said she figured out two days ago that I was ladybug. She wasn't sure why I would lie and instantly began suspecting Lila. She investigated and overheard Lila talking to someone else about how she lied. Because she had a date with Nino, and she had to confirm her suspicions, she didn't contact me. I confirmed her suspicions but asked that she tell no one but Nino. She did. Chloe also apologized. And admitted that she too investigated Lila since the incident. We're friends now, and we all know each other's identities. Lila moved back to Italy and won't return for a while. Sincerely, Marinette Dupain Cheng 19th March 2018"

A few years later, a 20 year old Marinette Dupain Cheng walked down the isle escorted by her father, Tom Dupain Cheng. Her mother was in tears. Alya was her maid of honor and Chloe was a bridesmaid. Nino was Adriens best man and his father was to wed them. After exchanging their vows and I-Dos, they kissed and the audience clapped and cheered. Such a happy day for every person in Paris and every birds tune.

9 and a half months later Marinette Agreste gave birth to twins. A boy and a girl. The girls name was Emma and the boys name was Hugo. The Agrestes and Dupain Chengs cherished them and nothing could make them happier.

And so even when the end seemed bitter, it was actually the beginning of happily ever after.
