No One POV
If it hadn't been for him, none of this would've happened. His desperation for friendship and his impossibility of ever being alone after having such friendship, his so called friend wouldn't be in such a situation.
Jun came into a conclusion that mostly everything that happened to Minghao, was all his fault. A quarter of the fault belonged to the family members who paid no attention to him, that lead to his calling of Minghao.
It was hard to believe, that the first good friend of Jun's, had been hospitalized just because of his playful actions. Why did he have to be so childish? Running around the house like five year olds?
Why couldn't they be the seniors they were and stalk people on Instagram? Or go look for some cute girls? -even though Minghao won't really have a good time in that- Couldn't they have stayed in the one room they were in instead of moving somewhere with glass and chair legs?
Jun never pictured being in the four corners of a hospital with his friend whom was sleeping peacefully, face pale and drained of life, and a white bandage wrapped around the toe. He didn't realize the constant tears flowing down his cheeks as he looked at the sleeping Minghao.
Jun was frustrated with himself. Why couldn't he just do thing right? Why did everything always have to go wrong for him? Why was it always him? He felt like a target that red curly haired girl Merida always aimed perfectly at.
It was always perfectly hit straight at him.
"Hao..." Jun whispered, almost inaudible at the said boy who has been in coma for about a week. "I'm so sorry.." Those words, that have been repeated daily through the week. Its already next Saturday, and Minghao was injured last Sunday.
The words that Junhui used to apologize with, are words so complicated and deep, so much that Jun couldn't even believe he was able to say such things.
Jun was really in need of Minghao. He needed his friend back desperately. The halls of the school seemed empty. Jun refused to listen to Minghao's friends when they asked where the black haired boy had gone, he'd either stare at a spot on a wall or just easily get up and leave.
Although Jeonghan and Jisoo were just taking a stroll and caught Junhui walking straight towards the hospital.
They decided to leave the boy with the other who had the crush on Jun himself.
Jun squeezed Minghao's hand, something he didn't do when Minghao was active. Something that he had no idea what things he could make Minghao feel with just that simple gesture. But just as before,
Jun felt it too, he was just to dumb to know what it was. After all, he's never experienced the feeling of love. Heck, he doesn't even know what love is.
But this is love. Being so worried over one thing, afraid to lose it and for it to never come back. When you desperately want it back so much that you'd sell your own soul to save one's life. Holding the other's hand, hugging them, and only feeling that everything is right in those moments.
Jun felt it, but he still doesn't know what to call it.
Squeezing Minghao's hand tighter, he rested his forehead next to Minghao's hip, tears sinking into the white covers.
Jun reached up to Minghao's delicate face, and moved the black bangs covering the edges of his beautifully crafted, slanted eyes. Minghao always did this move, as if it seemed like he hated the hair in his face, yet he never cut it.
Jun found himself caressing the younger boy's cheek. He sobbed silently until the beeping monitor sped up. Jun released his hand from Minghao's face.
