Taehyung looks out the car window and watches the trees pass by colors of orange, red, and yellow quickly whizzing past him. Everything was silent except for his dad's soft humming to the radio and his occasional tapping of the steering wheel while his mother sat peacefully looking out the window admiring the scenery.
You see Taehyung and his family were moving for the 4th time this year. His parents jobs always kept them on their toes and ended up in them constantly moving so in result the Kim's never felt the need to make close friends and actually get comfortable wherever they moved to. Don't get me wrong they were very kind human beings and the parents were very sociable people who could be friends with just about anyone, it's just they didn't have a lot of close friends. But this time was different Taehyung's parents hoped and wanted this to be the last time they move for a while, the Kim's felt it was finally time to settle down and let their son finish his last two years of high school.
Taehyung on the other hand wouldn't have cared either way, he never was really good with friends or relationships he found talking to people awkward, exhausting, and filled him with anxiety. Taehyung wasn't entirely lonely though, he did have Shownu who was his best and only friend that he had known since birth and who was used to his social awkwardness. He actually was the only person including his parents that he felt comfortable around.
Unfortunately Shownu lived all the way in Seoul but they made sure to text and FaceTime from time to time and talk about everything and nothing but other than that tae was mostly alone. Although Taehyung lacked in the friend department he was content; he was comfortable in his own little world that consisted of Shownu and his parents nothing else, nothing more. He was fine with staying home on the weekends watching k dramas and Netflix while other kids his age were out partying with their friends, he was fine with walking to the park alone and watching other people with their significant others stroll casually along the duck pond and he was fine being by himself in his own company. But of course their was that little part of him that longed for human connection from time to time, that longed for conversation, acknowledgement, love.
But those feelings always passed as quick as they came but little did he know this move was going to change his life forever.... - - - - - - - - -
