Shan's POV

Year 2015 Youth Camp, Welcome Participants

The tarpaulin is waving at me with this bold letters in italic font.

"Nakapagsign-up ka na ba? Kung hindi pa dito sa may left side ang pila"

"Salamat"

I can't imagine myself standing in this place para magsign-up sa ganitong klaseng event. Camp, not just an ordinary camp but a spiritual one. This is YFC to be exact. Youth for Christ.

I remember 2 years ago kinukulit pa ako ni Kuya na sumali and ilang beses ko na din na tinangihan, alam kong hindi makakatulong but look at me now Ive decided to take it a try.

"Hello miss, magsasign-up po"

"Sure thing, Name. Age. Why?"

"Ano pong Why?"

"Why you choose to be part of this community?"

Hindi ko alam ang isasagot ko. Bakit ba ako nandito? Sapat ba na rason na may hinahanap ako?

"I am Shannea Avellar Gonzaga, 15 years old. Sumali ako ka-si may hinahanap po ako"

The lady look so confuse with my answer. Pero hindi na siya nagtanong for follow-up buti na lang, dahil wala na talaga akong isasagot.

"This is your kit, and your nametag"

Yes! This was me.

Bumalik ako kay ate girl at pilit pinapapaltan ang pangalan.

"Ate, Shan na lang po. Palitan nyo na po ito"

"Bigyan mo ako ng reason kung bakit ko dapat palitan ang nametag mo"

"Kasi hindi po ako yan, iyan po ang dating ako"

Tiningnan niya ulit ako at ngumiti.

"Okay Shan. Done"

She handed me my tag.

Yes! I am SHAN.

I walked toward the gate and start familiarizing the place. It is an abandoned park that is full of devoted christians. Catholic perhaps.

"Participants, this is Jus and I would like to welcome you in this year Youth Camp"

"Ang cute ng boses"

"Sana ma-meet ko siya"

"Ilang taon na kaya siya"

At iba pang murmurs ang naririnig ko pagkatapos magsalita sa speaker nung Jus na yun. Hey guys! Were here for the camp to find..

Maybe they are here to find Jus and to see him.

Because Im here to find him. Antagal ko na siyang hinahanap.

Sana makita ko siya dito at sana tama ang maging desisyon ko.

"Bro, my deepest condolence. Pasensya ka na at hindi kami nakapunta nung libing ni Kate."

He nod. I don't know who is he, pero as I see his whole he is emotionally devastated.
