"Can you believe this nonsense, (F/N)?" Your lover ran his fingers through his dark hair, an expression filled with annoyance plastered across his face. You were used to this rambling coming from Guren after such a long day of work and training useless brats, as he liked to call it. He seemed more worked up than usual and you couldn't help but feel a bit of pity for him.

You furrowed your brows gently and took one of his gloved hands into his and placed it on your cheek. "There, there, Guren. Why don't you try calming down a little bit and take a shower? I'll make some dinner in the meantime, okay?" You smiled, Guren's expressing softening for a moment. He seemed irritated all of a sudden.

"A shower and dinner can't make me relax though, (F/N), I think I'll need a 24 hour nap afterwards", he leaned down and kissed your forehead, "Don't burn the food again~"

With that, he disappeared around the corner and into the bathroom. You soon heard the sounds of clothing being taken off, followed by someone getting into the shower. "It was you who burned it!", you reminded him, though he couldn't hear you anymore, and went into the kitchen to prepare your beloved's favourite food for all time.

It was strange, even after a good amount of time he didn't seem to be coming out any time soon. Probably because of how stressed he was, you thought to yourself as you set the knife aside that you had been using to cut a few carrots and onions. The image of Guren's relieved expression upon seeing what you has cooked for him brought a small smile to your face, before an idea popped into your head.

Because of the amount of stress that Guren faced on a daily basis, he always went straight to bed after eating and taking a shower. Even if you loved to sleep next to him and understood that he was exhausted, you still couldn't help but feel that a part of your relationship had started to lose its spark. Not the romantic or domestic side, but the intimate aspects of your relationship had been neglected for quite some time. It wasn't the same releasing frustration all alone, that was something you had learned soon enough, but considering the fact that Guren was barely present, it was the only alternative you had from time to time.

You turned off the stove, an excited smile appearing on your face as you exited the kitchen and tiptoed across the hallway. He was still in the shower  at the time you entered the bathroom, his muscled back facing you. A blush creeped onto your cheeks and you stripped out of your clothing quickly, slipping into the shower which went unnoticed by Guren. He seemed to be staring down at nothing.

Wrapping your arms around his torso from behind, you made sure to press your chest against his back and placed a small kiss on his shoulder. "Feeling any better?", you whispered, the male grumbling a few incoherent words which you couldn't quite make out. "Guren, look at me, please", you rubbed his back with one of your hands, making Guren turn around eventually.

He looked exhausted, as always. You studied his face and noticed the dark circles under his eyes and the slightly pouty lips. You tilted your head and brushed the wet hair out of his face, slicking it back like he usually did during battle. "There, there", you repeated your words from earlier and wrapped your arms around him to pull him into a hug again. "I know it's exhausting, but it'll get better. You'll get to take a break soon", mumbling those reassuring words, you smiled to yourself as he buried his face in your neck.
