Chan POV

Bambam escorted Felix, Yugyeom, Jisung and I to the Palace. We got out of the carriage, and I helped Felix out as Bambam helped Yugyeom out. Minho also rode with us to the Palace and helped Jisung out of the carriage. Once we all were out of the carriage, we said our farewells and went inside the Palace. Yugyeom seemed off, so I asked him what was wrong.

"Yugyeom..? You seem a little down, is something wrong?" I asked. He slowly perked his head up to look at me and sighed.

"Well.. I thought getting out of that dark cellar, I would get to see Bambam more but... it's the opposite. Why couldn't I stay with him at the council?" He responded.

"Yugyeom, you and I both know it's too dangerous for you to stay there right now. I would send you with Bambam if I could but-" I say before I was cut off.

"But what??! Don't you think it's dangerous for him too?! What if he gets hurt and I'm not there to do anything about it..?!" Yugyeom yells at me, causing the others to turn their heads to us.

"Yugyeom, I'm sorry I-"

"Just forget it!! You wouldn't understand anyways.. what love actually is!! You only keep Felix to drain him anyways because you can't drink others supernaturals blo-" I grab Yugyeom harshly, looking at him with cold and red eyes.

"THAT'S ENOUGH KIM YUGYEOM!! DON'T OPEN YOUR MOUTH ABOUT THAT TOPIC ANYMORE OR I'LL DRAIN YOU INSTEAD!!!" I say. I was taken aback by my words and let go of Yugyeom.

"I-I'm so sorry Yugyeom.. I wasn't thinking..-" I say.

"Ah.. it's fine, I wasn't thinking either with what I was saying. Don't worry about it.." He said. He bowed and quietly walked upstairs. I felt bad that I raised my voice like that, as there was an awkward silence for a moment. Felix broke it though.

"How about we all just.. go upstairs for now..?" He said as everyone nodded.

"Ah, Minho.. would you mind staying with Jisung and Woozi in their room? There's plenty of room." I say to him. Minho nodded.

"Yes, that's fine. Thank you for the offer." He says walking up the stairs with Jisung. I looked over to Felix.

"Ready?" I ask. He nodded in response. We made our way up the stairs and down the long, narrow hallways.

"Channie..?" Felix asked me. I blushed slightly at the nickname Felix gave me. I faced towards him.

"Hmm...?" I say back.

"I have a couple questions if you don't mind me asking them, do you?" He says back to me. I laugh slightly.

"No no, of course I don't mind you asking. Ask anything you'd like, but first let's get to the room, okay~?" I say back, and he nods.

"Okay"

Felix POV

I couldn't stop thinking about what Lucas told me back in the abandoned palace. Did me and Chan really know each other before all of this? Does mother or father know about Chan? Is that why she sent me here?? I'm so confused, but I guess that's why I'm asking Chan about it I suppose. We step into the room and Chan locks the door behind me, slamming it shut. The lights were turned off too. What was going on..? The only thing I could see was Chan's glowing eyes shining from the small amount of moonlight pouring in from the window. I was a little scared, why was he acting like this..?

"Felix. Come sit and we can talk." He says motioning me over to his desk. He sits the the chair behind the desk and I sit in the one in front.
    
     " Channie..? Is everything oka-" I was cut off my Chan reaching across the desk to grab the left side of my face.

     "If this is anything about what Lucas sad forget it. He's a liar Lix. Don't listen to him. I don't need it." He says to me. I was slightly confused.

     "Don't need it..? What do you mean?" I say to him.

     "YOUR BLOOD FELIX. YOUR BLOOD. EVERYONE THINKS THAT I ONLY AM KEEPING YOU FOR YOUR BLOOD AND THATS NOT THE REASON!!" He says, letting go of my face and sitting back in his chair. I widened my eyes slightly, mainly in shock.
 
     "I'm sorry.. I should've raised my voice like that.." Chan says to me in a calm tone, his eyes going back to the dark hazel shade.

     "It's okay but.. don't you need blood to survive?" I asked. Chan turned slightly stiff.

     "When we were fighting of NC7, I needed help for a reason. I'm very weak.. everyone thinks that I'm the ruler because I'm the strongest but I'm not.. I'm probably one of the weakest here." Chan says. I had another question pondering my mind though.

     "How are the other vampires surviving and becoming warriors then..?" I ask.

     "My mother had a rare disease.. where she could only have a certain kind of blood, kind of like how you humans have allergies. My mother had to only have human blood. She was fine for a while but.. when she got pregnant she was so weak from not getting enough blood, she died a couple days after I was born. She had also passed the disease to me when I was born. I had nowhere to go after that.. but one day a mother and a son had seen a paper on a street about a child for adoption. She wanted to take me in. Her son was around my age, I was about a year old at this point but my father couldn't take care of me. Her son was actually Yanan.. we grew up together. We were like brothers to each other. It was a great childhood. When the past ruler, Jaebum, died I had to fill in as I was supposedly the air to the throne. Jaebum was my fathers nephew. I filled in that spot from there on out." Chan explained. It was a lot to take in but I understood.

     "Channie." I said, as he tilted his head.

     "Yes, Lix?" He responded. I leaned towards him and took off my thin jacket.

     "Drink my blood then, Channie."
