Hanji told me where Levi was, which was in one of the cabins. I slowly walked in and saw him sitting on his bed, just staring at the wall.
"L-Levi...?" I asked timidly
"I need to ask you something, it might be a little sudden but I was asking if you would join the survey corps with me" He said without looking at me
"The survey corps? I don't...know if I can do that.." I could feel tears welling up in my eyes, I was such a baby
"You don't have a choice anymore, you're joining it with me. You're one of the best trainees this place has. It would be a waste for to go anywhere else."
I huffed and thought 'if I don't have a choice then why did you ask me?' Levi could be such an idiot sometimes...but he's the only person i have
I slowly walked out the cabin, I knew why he didn't want me to go anywhere else. He was afraid to be alone, if I joined the MP or the garrison I would never see him..
While I was walking I ran into someone, it was Petra
"Hey! are you okay?" She placed her hand on my shoulder sympathetically
I felt the tears again and looked away from her "Yeah..I'm just fine"
"I know you're lying, just tell me!" she got an 'angry' look on her face
"Okay fine...its Levi, he's making me be in the scouts with him..its not a big deal.." I jerked away from her grip and started to walk to my cabin
"O-okay, I'll just be in the scouts with you!"
I stopped in my tracks and let my tears fall. It was like I was dragging everyone along with me, I acted like I didn't hear her and just kept walking...
~Time skip~2 years~
Today was the day, the 103rd trainee squad was finally graduating. The top 10 cadets stood in front of the rest, I was ranked second. Levi was 1st. I was proud of myself, and I think Levi was too.
The sergeant was talking about how the top ten can choose the MP, all that stuff. The 12 year old me would have chosen the MP right away without even thinking about Levi. But the 14 year old me is stronger and braver, I have to join the Survey Corps. Not just for Levi or me, but for humanity itself.
I will become humanities strongest warrior...I will make my family proud of me..
