I stumbled off of the plane, my ear ringing as I forgot to chew on some bubblegum.

Not only from the high altitude, but also from that girl that talked my goddamned ear off throughout the whole plane ride.

Seventeen hours.

Seventeen. Fucking. Hours.

"Hey." I yawned, looking back at the girl that sat next to me.

"Yeah?" She breathed, tired as she carried two carry on bags and she searched for her suitcases.

"What time is it?"

"One in the morning." She laughed, not even checking her phone.

She knew right off the top of her head— how?

"One!?" My mouth hung open. "Really?"

She laughed and stood up straight, turning towards me.

"Here—" She started, grabbing my shoulder with one hand and pointing at some of the Koreans passing by with the other. "They say 'jeongmal!?'"

I laughed in awe, my face lighting up.

"Jeongmal..." I whispered to myself.

"Ne." She smiled, her lips pressed together.

She looked like she was proud of me, like she was a mother showing her daughter around a new world.

Even though she was annoying, I made a friend and I liked her— even though I forgot her name.

I pulled my phone out for the first time in seventeen hours and sure as shit, it read '1:13am'.

I left at eight in the morning and got here at one.

This is wild.

"This is wild." I slightly jumped, my insides prancing around.

"Grab your suitcases, babe." The girls shook her head at me, acting like a regular tourist. "I can only help you for so long."

"Huh?" My face dropped as I watched her sigh. "whadyou mean 'for so long'?"

Now that I began paying attention, she was way taller than me.

I mean— probably the same height as Jamie.

She had freckles and short, light brown hair that was curled at the end.

Her huge glasses complemented her long face and her smile was gigantic.

"Oh!" She laughed. "I'm not staying in Korea, silly."

Well where're you going?

"I can't be here by myself!" I whined, my face dropping.

"I'm going to Hong Kong." She smiled like it was a dream.

"Hong Kong!?" My eyes widened. "Why have you been everywhere?"

The girl couldn't stop smiling at my face of shock.

"I'm a petroleum engineer." She nodded. "It's amazing— but don't go into it if your strong suit isn't math"

I smacked my lips.

"Ugh I suck at math." I rolled my eyes.

"What're you doing here?" She asked, as she began making her way to the security guards while I followed her.

"I'm going to college here." I stuck my chest out, bragging. "Yonsei University full ride."

"Wowww!" She clapped for me. "That's amazing!"
