"Grace, time for school!" Called her mother with false cheer. They both new that even though it was a new year, it would be the same as every year. Some kids would be rude to her. Some kids would ignore her. It was always the same. She pulled herself out of bed, grabbed some clothes and walked into the bathroom. She put on the clothes, and brushed her hair. "I'm coming!" She called, walking down the stairs." I heard a new kid would be joining this year. " Her mom said. "Meh." I said bored. I picked at my cereal with my spoon. " They might be really great honey. " "Also, remember, ignore the haters." I rolled my eyes. My mom really didn't understand. I grabbed my bag and walked out the door muttering a quick, "bye."
When I got to school, everyone stated at me. I heard their whispering about me. I noticed one kid who was not looking at me and whispering about me. He must be the new kid. I thought.
He caught me looking and smiled. Then to my shock, he walked over to me. "Hi." He said. " Um. " I said, nervously.
