Driving home for christmas

3 months ago my gorgeous girlfriend gave birth to my two beautiful sons, Alfie and Landon. Maya and the boys are my entire world.

It's currently 5 minutes to Christmas and I'm stuck in extreme traffic that is estimated to take up to 4 hours. I feel bad for leaving maya with the boys whilst I go to work because she been exhausted for the past 3 months.

I do miss the boys when I go to work, every morning Alfie cries for ages when I leave.Landons not as bad because he's a total mommy's boy and doesn't cry at all when Maya's with him.

The traffic suddenly came to a stand still and I placed my head on the steering wheel and sighed in aggravation.

After a few minutes of being angry, Maya sent me a picture of the boys and a picture of her

Stuck in traffic babe I'll try and be back by 2

I looked over at the man in the car next to me and he looked exactly how I felt. I'm assuming he's in the same situation as I am.

After 2 more hours of driving, I arrived back at home to my blonde beauty asleep on the sofa wearing my pink hoodie that was way to big for her.

I smiled and went into the boys room to see them sleeping quietly. I gave hem both a kiss on the head and Alfie's eyes fluttered open. His dummy fell out of his mouth and he smiled at me, clapping his hands for me to pick him up. I picked him up and cuddled him till he fell back to sleep.
"I love you boys"

I went back downstairs and placed Maya's presents under the tree.

I walked over to her and kissed her cheek. She opened her eyes and smiled at me just like Alfie did and I smiled back at her.
"The boys are sleeping babe" I said she kissed my lips.
"Merry Christmas Lucas" she smiled and I kissed her again
"Merry Christmas gorgeous"
