HER eyes were nothing special. Dark brown was it really, but they showed so much pain and somehow I could tell she was smart just by looking into them. The minute her eyes met mine she turned away. I continued to walk. She was just another sick girl. But, why was she in the cancer wing? She had a full head of hair, which was also nothing special. It was a mousy brown. But, something about her made me intrigued. I made my way to the cafe to talk to some if the workers I've become accustomed to. I didn't realize I had been thinking the whole way there until I bumped right into the lunch counter. She kept creeping up into my mind. Why? She was just a sick, average girl, who had been through so much more than anyone deserved. But I have met many of those, why did she matter to me?

He looked dumb. His hair was a fading purple, almost lilac. He had an eyebrow piercing aswell. A stupid cheeky smile plastered on that dumb face of his. This was how I coped, I made everyone seem so awful so that I wouldn't become attached to them or vice versa. But the truth was, he was cute. He looked at me and I quickly turned away. Hoping that was the last time I would see him or his band shirt. I was a sick girl. He wouldn't want to be my friend anyways. What was he even doing here? He looked happy. Dying children, parents, friends...hell, even your enemies that you still cared about died here, or you got the news that one of them was sick, and would more than likely die. This was a place where happy didn't exist.
