Makayla P.O.V.
Malik just pulled up and packed all my things in the truck. Me and my dad are not on good terms so I don't even care to say goodbye. We been arguing all week about my brother Landon and Auntie Sanna. They will be happy with me gone.
And trust me so will I. Malik walked in.
"Hey baby. Everything is packed and ready to go. Are you ready?"
"Yes. I'm so ready."
"Double check and make sure you have everything so we don't have to make all those trips."
"Ok babe let me do a walk through."
I walked through my room and everything that I wanted was packed and set to go.
"Yeah Malik its all packed."
"Ok baby. Well let's say our goodbyes and get out of here."
"I don't want to say anything to them. Can we just go?"
"Babe you can't act like that you got to say something."
"Malik I don't have to say anything. Can we just go already?"
"So you don't want to say goodbye to your dad or your little brother?"
"Hell no. I just want to go."
Malik pulled Makayla into him.
"Babe don't do this. Please say something."
"Why? They don't want me here and I don't want to be here either. Can we just go?"
"Babe? Can you just do it for me?"
"Fine I will say goodbye for you."
Malik leaned in and kissed her softly.
"Thank you babe."
We walked to the family room and everyone was sitting. Landon walked to me and hugged me.
"You don't have to leave Kayla. I'm sorry for being a brat. Please stay."
"Nah. I got to go."
"Why? I'll be good."
"This is not about you Landon. This about my schooling."
"But you hate me and I don't want you to." He said with tears in his eyes.
"I don't hate you Landon. I have school. Do you get on my nerves? Absolutely. But I got to go."
"Will you come back and see me?"
"We will see ok."
"Can I have a hug?"
"Sure I guess."
We hugged and I started to the door.
"Is that all you see in here?" Taye asked.
"No it's not all I see but he's the only one who made a effort to me."
