   ???POV
I was with my dad in the school office of West Point High, home of the Wolverine. My dad and I were signing the paper that I need to have a sign to go here.

"Well that will be all," Ms. Larite the secretary said, "here are some brochures for some of the clubs and programs. I think you will like the sport one's best." She smiled and I nodded. Dad said nothing in our time here but then again he's my father. When his phone beeped, he stood.

"Sorry Ms. Larite but I need to be at a meeting in an hour and you know how the roads get.'' He flashes her one of his infamous bachelor smiles that has Ms. Larite as red as a tomato. Before he left the room he asked me if I had spare change to ride the bus home. When I nodded he took that as his sign to leave.
When he was gone Ms. Larite asked, "is your father single?" I stared at her, she was not the first woman to ask and she surely won't be the last. I shook my head and told her no.

"He's been dating a woman named Kinga something," I said, not bothering to remember my father's girlfriend's last name. The secretary's face went pale and envy flashed in her eyes.

"Kinga stone?"
I thought for a moment then I nodded "How long?" There it was again the green-eyed monster.

"It will be two years  in two weeks." After a few seconds of silence then I asked if I could get my schedule. Once she gave it to me, I stood up, thanked her and left. In the hallway I make my way around the school I looked at my schedule

Overall, it was okay but why do I have to have advanced PE as my last class of the day? First of all, I'm pretty sure that I signed up for regular gym class but oh well not like I would have played the games anyway. Since I was alone, I thought that I should take a look around the school. In all, it was a pretty big school with seven flights of stairs and roughly over a hundred rooms. Anyone would have mistaken this place a mansion. All of my classes were on the same floor, luckily.

Even though I didn't have to go up and down the stairs walking to and fro all my classes was a work out like no other. After giving myself a small tour of the school I went outside to where the track was. As I opened the door, a light breeze blew strands of my hair into my face. Today was unusually warm for mid-January, so warm in fact that I was only wearing a light jacket. Walking down the steps of the school's entrance, I thought of how weird it's going to be, being the new kid that shows up halfway through the school year. It was going to be hard making friends, but it's not like I was any good at making friends, to begin with.

At my old school in Chicago, I didn't have many friends-sketch that I didn't have any friends at all. The few that called themselves my friends were with me for the popularity and using my house as they go to party locations. I was kind of glad that I no longer had to put up with them.

Sometimes I wonder why I even put up with them for so long. I mean I didn't care for them or had a close bond with any of them and vice versa. It was a question that I have been trying to figure out for the past three years with nothing but more questions and little answers.
When I finally snapped out of my thoughts, I noticed that I had made my way to the middle of the track field.

How did I get here? I asked myself, one of these days my habit of unconsciously walking would be the end of me.
Sighing to myself I walked to the bus stop and waited for the bus. When the bus came, I asked the driver if he went by 47 st. and Madison. The driver eyed me up and down before nodding his head with his brow raised. I paid for the ticket and sat down in the back of the bus. The bus was empty except for a guy that looked like he just finished a long day at the workplace. The poor guy could hardly keep his eyes open. In as little to no time at all I had reached my destination.

After I had thanked the driver I walked the rest of the way home. When reaching the gates of the place that is my new home l put my hand on the scanner and was granted access. A key would have been just fine. Why does dad have to go over the top with everything. We're living in a fucking mansion with over twenty bedrooms and tons of other rooms that contained stuff that neither of us will ever use more than once in every twenty five decades, not to mention that there is only me and my dad living here. And If matter aren't as bad as they are the door is half a mile away from the gate. The distance was covered with many small rectangular marble tiles that laid in nice neat rows. The tiles were so clean that you could see yourself walking across it.

I walked up the steps to the front door and aimed my right eye to the scanner, yes dad got scanners for every exterior door that in the whole house. What's that? Do I think it unnecessary. Very. Will i ever do any shit about it? You were bold to assume as much. I stop questioning anything my father did after my mom left.

Fast forwarding to when I had finally maneuver myself to the kitchen I scavenged the fridge and pantry looking for something to eat before-" Kora? What are you doing going through the place like a bandit?" Of course I try to do one thing for myself in this mess world and the universe decide to be a son of a bitch and send the one person I didn't want to deal with right now. Sighing I turned around to face the one and only Mrs.Penwhil, her face wore an expression that I've come to know and love( note the sarcasm). With one hand on her hip she gave me a look that signed she was about to give her famous speech 'what did I tell you about acting anything but human'. "What did I tell you about acting like a wild beast" see, told you so.

"I was getting myself something to eat" I said with a hint of annoyance in my voice."Then I plan to get ready for bed."

" You know the rules of this household you have to have someone check your food before you eat it." At that comment I suddenly felt a wave of fury run over me.

" WHO IN THIS MOTHERFUCKING WORLD WOULD WANT TO KILL ME." I yelled getting a look of shock from Mrs.Penwhil but kept going. "THIS HOUSE IS FUCKING MORE SECURED  THEN THE FUCKING WHITE HOUSE! THERE ARE GUARDS ALL OVER THE ESTATE AND BITCH I HAVE YOU. DON'T THINK I DON'T KNOW THAT YOUR NOT JUST A MAID, YOU TELL DAD EVERY LITTLE SHIT THAT I DO." I took a deep breath trying to calm myself down, I wait a few minutes before I went on. " No one could get in this house if they tried." I walked passed her and she opened her mouth to say something. "I was late because I decided to take a look around the school." At that she closed her mouth and nodded. I knew that dad told her the exact time that we finished signing the paper. It was 6:15 I was only ten minutes late.

I decided that I was going to skip dinner and just get ready for bed. What was that? I thought back to what I just did. Sure I hated that I was watched over 24/7 365 but never have I called dad or Mrs.Penwhil out for it. I shook my hand to clear my thoughts must be some teen hormones thingy. Walking into my room I was greeted with boxes of things from my old room. We have been here for a week and I haven't gotten anything unpacked but my bed. Speaking of my bed, it looked very inviting and practically was calling me to take the smallest nap clothes shoes and all I got under the covers and welcomed the world of dreams. In the distance I could hear Mrs.Penwhil say that dad  wouldn't be here tonight and at that moment I could have cared less.
