Emmanuel: The Angel Demon Hybrid

Leaving the Wild Woods

Its been four years since the talk under the stars with Apollo and Emmanuel is now 10 years old. The old wolf walks the boy to the edge of the forest close to the village he was borne in. "This is where we part ways Emmanuel. This is the pack you came from." The wolf said as he looked at the boy with sad eyes.

"I'm gonna miss you Apollo." Emmanuel said as he gets on his knees hugging the wolf tears falling down his face. A few minutes later he stands up walking out of the forest to the village, only looking back when he hears a sad enchanting howl. This was the last time he would see the old wolf who raised him.

Walking slowly into the small village of man Emmanuel looked around cautiously. He saw a lot of people going on with their daily lives. Gripping tightly to his bow he walked with his head down trying not to draw attention to himself. While he was walking with his head down he bumped into a rich man who became furious.

"Can't you watch where your going you orphaned brat!" He had said furiously. The boy quickly backed away then ran the opposite direction. Even with his heart thumping from his first encounter with a human he was pissed at how he had been treated.

I never thought humans would act like that to each other...Emmanuel thought to himself. Little did he know that there was much more then just humans in this small village. He would soon find out that this village has been a hotspot for demon activity.

Emmanuel continues looking around the village curiously when he is stopped by a young man.

"Hey kid are you new around here?" The man asked. "Cause i sure haven't seen you around before" the man continued. "My name is Chase by the way, whats your name?"

"My name is Emmanuel" the boy replied. "This place seems weird, not like id thought it be."

"Thats because this town is overrun by demons and we town folk have no way to fight back. You see Demons can take on whatever disguises they want and we can't tell the difference." Chase replied.

The boys brows furrowed as he asked: " what are demons and why are you scared of them?" He looked up at Chase curiously.

Well for starters i'm not scared of them. Second they are evil beings bent on destroying humanity." Chase replied while looking warily around the town. Emmanuel nodded as he processed the information.
