I wake up in my bed this time, except there is a curtain splitting the room in half; seperating my stuff from Emilias. I let out a faint cry, but then I remember how I saw Emilia last time. The hospital had drugs running through my system, I needed more to see her again. I run over to my dresser, I have a stache of money in my pj drawer. I grab all of that and stuff it into my bra. I then walk over to my window and creep out and down the side of the house just like I have always when I was sneaking out to a friends house. Emilia always scolded me but always covered for me. I run away from the house and down toward the bad area in town. Ive lived around here enough that I know what the prostitutes, and drug dealers look like. I run down an alley to a known drug house. Emilia always kept me away from all this bs but now that this is the only way to see her Ill have to define her rules. I knock on the door and a buff guy answers.

"I need a fix and I herd I could get one here." I had no clue what to say but whatever I said pleased him because he opened the door wider for me to come in. He had me sit in a chair and wait. After about ten minute a man walked in with a mask on his face.

"What do you want? You new so do you even know our options?" He said sitting down. I looked at him hard for a second. Out of all the dealers Ive seen he looks to be the nicest, but then again looks are deceiving.

"I need something the hospital gives you." I say looking him dead in the eyes.

"Honey, we have lots of drug that do that be more specific." He said throwing his hands in the air.

"I remember one of the side effects was hallucination I think." Twirling my hair around one of my fingers like I was bored. I dont know where the confidence was coming from but I didnt care I only wanted this drug. He pointed at one of his men and he scampered off, probably to get my drug.

"That'll be $350, and you'll have an entire bottle. You only need two pills to hallucinate and a half of a pill just to focus on stuff." He said grabbing the bottle from the man who came running back in. I nodded my head in thanks when he gave it to me and I handed him the money; the big dude escorted me out of the drug house. I ran to the woods outside of my house, I didnt want to be in the house incase my parents found me but the bad area of town probably wasn't a safe bet either. So here I am, holding my water bottle in my right hand and two pills in my left. I threw the pills down the back of my throat and chugged the water. I sat there waiting, it only took about five minutes before I started to feel a weightless sensation. Then I heard her voice again. Alicia! Lets have a dance party! I turned around and there she was. She was paler than I remember but I was happy to see her. I ran over and hugged her she felt slightly warm but she did not return my hug.

"Lets have a dance party! Where?" I say grabbing her hands and spinning us around, she giggled and smiled. Lets have a party! She yelled at what seemed like the top of her lungs. I nodded my head and she started dragging me through the woods. We keep running to we find a clearing. She starts swaying to some inaduable song, I stare at her in awe. Just as I am about to join her she turns away from me and her shoulders slump, I run up to her and turn her around so shes facing me, and then I see it. The holes in her shirt and a substance that looks like molasses starts leaking through the holes. She falls to the floor with tears streaming down her eyes. Lets have a dance party? She says weakly looking up at me and then she disappears and so does the blackness surrounding her. I snap back into reality and realize that I am sitting by the same tree I was when I took the drug. We were almost able to dance together, I didnt take enough pills to stop her from dying at the end. I pick the pill bottle up and dump all its contents on the grass in front of me. I counted out the drugs but as I counted so did Emilia.

One

Two

Three

I stopped counting when I heard her voice. She counted them out till she hit eleven. Eleven, the number of wounds that penetrated her chest that fateful night. I could feel a cold sensation sitting next to me. I scoped up the pills she had counted out. I stared at them in my hand debating. Take them. I nodded, popped all eleven pills into my mouth and threw them back with water.

Lets have a dance party!

Show me where the dance floor is Emilia
