Gundams, they were brought about by the change of rules. All the others seemed enthused by the idea of using robots that can amplify our abilities to fight each other during the Astral Ritualistic Initiation Fights, except for me. In the end, wouldn't someone use those Gundams for malicious purposes, considering that their strengths are far stronger than our physical selves? I've hated fighting, so I questioned the purpose of the fights and the existence of the Constellatory Gundams a lot.
On the day when Taurus and I gathered alone for the first time. I felt very shy since I was sort of an antisocial one, so I've never went deep into a conversation with any of the constellations, let alone talking to a constellation of the opposite gender! Even though Taurus showed a straight face, although always looking a bit grumpy, I was still so shy that I blocked my view of him with my wings.
Taurus: So, what do you want us to do now that we're here? There's nothing but wheat everywhere.
Virgo: I... I want to talk about things...
Taurus: Yeah, go on.
Virgo: I don't understand why the rules were changed. Now everybody must have a Gundam to participate in the fights. Shouldn't the Zodiacs be determined from a constellation's heart instead of raw strength? Why is existence so unfair to those who truly have a heart to do good deeds? Everyone just looks at the cover of the book, but not what's inside! I hate fighting in the first place, and now with Gundams, it just makes it worse!!
Taurus: Well... I mean, you could always drop out if you wanted to.
Virgo: But.... but... I want to... contribute to the efforts of the Zodiacs... I'm just not strong enough to earn myself a place in the Courts!!
Taurus: Well, you have no choice but to fight then. What can I say? This is existence after all.
Virgo: I could go by that if Gundams weren't involved... Sure, all the Gundams look cool and imposing, but if I were to pilot one, I would feel uncomfortable... How could you feel comfortable with building a death machine?
Taurus: I was just following orders after all. Gundams don't have to be used for killing only, it just depends on how you use it.
Virgo: Won't that disgrace my divinity as a constellation? I don't want to kill, nor seen as a killer...
Taurus: You know, I never understood the existence of Gundams as well. Like I said, I was just following orders. If you don't like physical imposure, build a more tame-looking one. If you don't want it to look like a death machine, equip it with minimal amount of weapons or simply forgo weaponry.
He grabbed my wing and moved it aside, then pointed at Gundam Taurus which was landed behind us.
Taurus: Look at it. Resembles me really well, doesn't it?
Virgo: Um... yes...
Where was he going with that?
Taurus: Mine looks unique among all the others.
Virgo: Yeah-?
Taurus: Uh... sorry, I can't seem to find suitable words. What I want to say is, we are free to build whatever we want. Mine looks like a bull, Sagittarius can transform into a centaur. Heck, even Ophiuchus mounted a snake-looking thing into the abdomen of his Gundam.
Virgo: What does that have to do with what I'm trying to understand?
Taurus: You're overthinking, Virgo. If there's something I won't understand no matter how long I think about it, I might as well not understand it. "Just go with the flow," as Aquarius said.
