Gundam Zodiac Astral Prologue

Court of Aries

Aries: Looks like we tied again.

Sagittarius and I go way back. From the beginning of our existence, we played with each other on the grasslands of different planets, often travelling with Lyra and Libra on their journeys - playing when the sky is bright and listening to Lyra's music when the sky is dark. Sagittarius and I frolicked on the fields, usually playing tag or sprinting, but we tied with each other every time. But it was after the first Initiation Fight that kicked things off.

Ever since we've had our first battle in the Initiation Fights, we never stopped challenging each other to settle our scores. From our physical battles to when we fought with our Gundams, either way we weren't able to crown a victor!

Sagittarius: Looks like so. But I'm sure in our next battle, I will be the victor!

Aries: Don't get so full of yourself just yet. You've been defeated by Scorpio and Cancer in the Initiation Fight a few hundred hours ago and I haven't!

Sagittarius: Yet when we fight each other, we always tied... Strange...

Aries: Maybe you're just holding back, aren't you~?

Sagittarius: H- hey! I'm doing what I've always been doing! What's there to hold back?

Aries: Don't try to cover anything up, I can see through you~ We've been together for so long after all!

Sagittarius: You- !

Aries: Hehe~

Yep, teasing each other was a major part of our friendship.

Sagittarius: Whatever! I'm sure I will be the first victor to rise out of our rivalry! Let's head back to the stars, shall we?

Aries: Sure, Robin. I do have my next fight for the seventh court to participate in.

One fortnight later, the fights have ended. I have reigned superior over all the other constellations in terms of strength, so the Court of Aries is the first court of the celestial longitude. Yes, not even the mighty golden bull Taurus can take me down, even when we didn't have our Astral Burst Systems installed into our Gundams at the time.

About that, when I read the description of my Astral Burst Effect, I was surprised, my pupils may have turned into stars when I read it.

Aries: "Astral Burst System - Aries: Radiate Amp Moratorium Blast (or R.A.M. Blast for short). Marks at most 5 enemy targets and releases a pulse to temporarily jam their amplification systems and remove the amplification effects, on top of applying a stat boost to self. Drawback: It cannot distinguish between real and fake enemies."

Mother Asteria asked me to enter the following into my log to make sure my knowledge of the Astral Burst System wasn't covered up by nebulas... Damn it, Mother, you worry too much!

So, the Astral Burst System is only installed into Zodiacal Gundams, thus the other 76 non-zodiacal Gundams do not have it. It would get uninstalled before the Initiation Fights and if a constellation loses its place in the 12 Courts in the next Fight until it regains the position in the Fight after that. When activated, it would simeultaneously (It's spelt "simultaneously" - Asteria) activate the Boost Overdrive to give Zodiacal Gundams a base stat buff, which is installed into every Constellatory Gundam, and the Astral Burst System to buff itself up or debuff enemies. The Boost Overdrive can still be independently activated when needed.

'But who would want to activate it individually?' I thought to myself.

I let out a grin after reading the description of my particular Astral Burst Effect while my eyes figuratively glowed red. With that R.A.M. Pulse, I could finally have a potential edge over Sagittarius and prove his claim wrong. So, I invited him to the Terarena so that we could finally settle our impasse.
