The Day I Saw Him (includes Baker Brothers)

Audition Day

It was the day of the modelling audition. Lili my best friend was on her way round to my house to help me get ready. It was also her last day in Henryetta, Lili's dad had gotten a job in Tulsa meaning she would have to move and I would be left with no best friend. But today I couldn't worry about that because I had my audition to focus on. Everyday I got more and more excited about it until today. All the excitement disappeared and I was left with doubt and fear! I began to freak out. What if I made a total fool out of myself?! I mean Lani Baker, my idol was going to be there. I had always hoped to be a successful model, just like her! And today was my chance. If I actually got chosen I would model for the same company and Lani, which would mean I would be working with her! I began to fill my head with these thoughts until a loud knock at the door interrupted and my mind re-entered reality.

Lili barged in with a bag that looked liked she should have been heading to the airport. But instead it was filled with accessories and make up. She began to pull out more bags and boxes from within the bag, it was going to be a long process!

About three hours later I was ready, possibly over ready with how much make up was caked on my face. I began to feel nerves rush through my body as we got in the car. Luckily Lili started blasting music and my thoughts slowly faded away.

We finally arrived at the modelling shoot. I was so nervous. As we walked up, we were greeted by a lovely women who lead us to backstage. "You must be Lottie Cook?".
"Uhhh" I stuttered.
"Yes, Lottie cook! Here for the 12pm audition", Lili interrupted.
"Great" the lady responded, "Right this way".

We were now in a small backstage room where we were told to wait until I was called. I sat there nervously as Lili touched up her make up. She wasn't auditioning, she just had to have her make up perfect. All of a sudden, a lady rushed into the room, looking for something. I soon realised it was Lani. "Oh, hi! I am so sorry I didn't see you there, I was just looking for my phone and I wasn't sure if I had left it in my room." Lani said as she continued to look. In total shock, I quickly replied "Wait this is your room, I'm in Lani Bakers room?".
"Yeah" she smiled, "are you a fan or my brothers?". I looked confused but soon realised her brothers were famous tiktoks stars but I hadn't really noticed them much. "Uhh, well not really, I'm kind of a fan of you". She looked happily surprised "really, people alway notice me because of my brothers".
"Are you here for an audition?".
"Yeah, Lottie Cook".
She turned to Lili, "and you?"
"Oh hi, no not me, I'm just here to support Lottie".
"Oh, well I guess I'll see you out there Lottie, good luck!" Lani said as she rushed out the door.
"Thanks" I yelled after her, as I stood there frozen from shock. I had now met Lani Baker!

It was now time for my audition. "Lottie Cook, for 12pm". I began to feel nerves build up. Lili with haste, rushed out of the door, dragging me out with her. When I got to the lady who had first greeted us, she began to tell me what I was to do, but it all was a blurry background sound. As other thoughts filled my head. Soon they called me into the shoot and we begun.

Half way through the shoot I noticed a boy at the back of the room. He had been staring at me this whole time and I had no idea if he recognised me from somewhere but he looked familiar to me. I couldn't help notice his ocean blue eyes. He smiled at me staring back at him. His smile made me feel warm inside, it was so sweet and cute. For the rest of the shoot I just focused on him and all my doubts and fear went away.
