Sanae couldn't wait to go home.
She just had cleaning duty yesterday, and just came from a mile run at PE today, so she's definitely feeling the exhaustion catch up to her. But, unfortunately , she still has two more classes to go until she is truly free for the day. It's their usual break time before class starts, and she can't concentrate on anything at all but her heavy eyelids as she leans over her desk, with her head buried in her sleeves.
Suwa-kun, Kakeru, Naho, Azu, Takako, and Haigta have joined around her desk either standing or sitting casually, since there's not that many people in the classroom during break time. She's still sweating; the room unbearably hot since she's now in her green blazer. Luckily for them, the air conditioner is keeping them cool with a small gust of wind every now and then, and some windows are open.
"Do you want something to drink, Sanae?" She thinks she hears Kakeru call to her.
Eh? She hums, voice muffled by her arms, and lifts her head up tiredly. Suwa's towering over near her side, and she lets out an embarrassing yelp of surprise, nearly falls backwards on her chair, but Suwa catches it in time thanks to his fast reflexes. The others burst out laughing, and she wants to go crawl in the corner and disappear.
"You alright there, Misaki?" Suwa pats her back gently, smiling brightly like he always does. Seeing smile makes her want to smile, so she does but her heart fully isn't into it. "Misaki."
"Ah, sorry, Kakeru-kun, Suwa-kun, I'm exhausted," she sighs, hunching over her desk and buries her face against her arm once more "I haven't ran that fast before in my life."
"You really don't like sports, do you?" Suwa asks with amusement in his brown eyes.
"I avoid it as much as possible," she mutters. "especially if running's involved."
"You hear that, Hiagta?" Suwa calls over to the bespectaled boy reading at his desk with a laugh. "I think you met your double!"
"I don't particularly blame her," Haigta shrugs, eyes still fixed on the book in his hands. "Those runs they make us do are torture."
"Oh, come on, they aren't that bad," Suwa reasons.
"Says the person who does soccer twenty four seven," Sanae reminds him, with a small pout.
"Well, I don't run twenty four seven, that's a little too crazy, if you ask me!"
"What was it your were asking me earlier, Kakeru?" Sanae purposefully ignores Suwa, who pouts back at her, and turns to the quiet boy, who's staring at them with amusement.
