~NightmareTime was cruel, though it had no thoughts or feelings. It matched on with out much care, seconds easily could become hours. And hours became days. Before anyone could realize it in their mentality of tomorrow was another day, years would pass.
But how many years could someone wait? When was it finally enough? Goldie was left to wait like that. 6 years he's waited. 6 years he's steadily stood guard.
For 6 years he's fulfilled his promise, watching carefully over his friends and family in the darkest parts of the shadows.
Goldie was a patient man. Though he was buttered through time and age, he would wait. But regardless of how well he preformed as commanded. Attempted to do the right thing. He still thought like a mortal. He grew restless.
He couldn't help himself, he was alone, guarding his friends here in this cruel joke. His friends knew nothing of his efforts, but to be fair the only one who ever had any clue was his brother. It was hard for them to realize just what goldie had done to ensure they were safe.
The truth for that was they were nothing more than a fragment of something called remnant now. Their physical forms only around from midnight to 6 am a curse that was punishment. Something that was out of control for even the puppet. Leaving them unknowing to what happens in the day forced to fall into a sleep unless summoned.
Goldie felt as though he was navigating blindly through the dark. No one was there to guide him. You had been asleep, unable to keep him company in the day. And the puppet, seemingly disappeared the day you died.
He's heard absolutely nothing from the puppet in the time you've left them. As you laid in rest, caught in your eternal sleep until the light called you to rise, he was utterly alone in the day.
Goldie, of course, knew this was how it was supposed to be. This was his burden to bare alone. Despite it all he couldn't help how he felt deep within, and not knowing what was happening next has made him a restless man.
He longed to know what to expect next. To brace or the journey ahead. The fact that he was left here in the dark alone to fend for the others and himself, was driving him to a brick of insanity he hadn't realized existed within him.
So, when he heard you say his name inside your mind as you woken tonight, he leapt at the opportunity to see if the puppet had spoken to you. Perhaps it was selfish of him, using you as a medium to speak to him. But he had to know what was going on and what to do. (He couldn't stand another day left in the darkness alone.)
For a while he resented his gift, after all being different from the others felt like a curse in itself. Not only did he die in the same way they had, but he became the very thing that had killed him.
But he knew now that being a dream demon was what was needed in this battle for peace. He may not be as powerful as some other dream demons, but he was all they had until the puppet was to reveal himself. The shock of loosing the voice that's been with him in his rebirth was too much to handle, and left him frantic to find it again. (Not thinking with as sound of mind as he should have been.)
Opening the door for you, goldie watched you walk inside the room, taking a moment to observe your surroundings. You peered around curiously, eyes lingering upon the messed up tables and chairs that resided with in to look as though a fight had broken out within this room. In truth a crude artistic display of a struggle they thought to of happened within the pizzeria the day he and the others were murdered. (He's watched countless guests enter this place with oo's and ah's. As the tour guide retold the past in an overdramatized way. It didn't even take place in a party room like this.)
