Authors Note: hey y'all. So this story obviously isn't going to go the same route as the game does. I'm making up my own stuff for it. So yay. Also slight SaLarry shipping in this chapter so beware.

"You alright dude?"

Sally Fisher groaned, holding his head in his hands. A whistle sounded in the background. He sat up slowly, seeing Larry in front of him. Ashley stood on the girls' side, looking equally concerned, while Todd was no where to be seen. Probably went to fetch the school nurse after Sally had been unconscious for too long. He gratefully took Larry's outstretched hand, getting to his feet. "Just about." He replied, feeling his head for any bumps.

They had been playing volleyball, and a ball had felt the need to smash Sally right in the face. He panicked a moment, feeling his face for his mask. He settled down when he felt the hard plastic on his fingertips. "I put it back on just in case," Larry said. Sally smiled gratefully at him, then realized his friend couldn't see it, so he grabbed his hand and squeezed it. "Thanks, Larryface."

Larry grinned, just as Todd appeared in the double doors followed by the school nurse. Sally held up his hands, showing her he was fine, but she just shook her head. "Sorry, Sally, but you know the drill." He sighed.

"Don't worry, dude. Me and Todd will kick ass while you're gone." Larry reassured him, giving him a lighthearted slap on the back.

"I can grab his bag," Ashley offered, appearing behind the nurse. She smiled brightly, but the boys knew it was just a show so she would be allowed to leave class. Ashley told them she didn't like the other girls. All they wanted to talk about was makeup and boys. Things she didn't like. "Sure," the nurse nodded towards Sal's backpack, which Ashley quickly scooped up. She stuck her tongue out at Todd and Larry when the nurses back was turned, and Larry narrowed his eyes, while Todd rolled his.

Sal laughed. Typical with his friends.

*Afterwards*

Walking down the halls, Ashley swung Sal's backpack back and forth, having her own one strap over her own shoulder. Sal glanced at her, and she looked over, smirking. "What?"

"Could you not prepare to use my backpack as a slingshot, please?"

Ashley laughed, putting his one strap over her other shoulder. "Okay, fine. Sorry."

They turned the corner and past a group of boys who were shouting and being loud. Ashley blushed, looking down at the ground, and Sally instantly felt his heart break. She liked someone else. Amid the chaos in his mind, he could hear the boys catcalling her. He glared at them, speaking up to defend her honor. "Hey, leave her alone!"

"Sally!" Ash hissed under her breath, but the damage was done.

One of the tougher looking ones approached Sally, getting in his face. "Oh yeah, what're you gonna do about it, shrimp?"

"You know, being short means I'm closer to the balls."

Ashley snorted, and the boy looked even more pissed then before, picking Sally up off the ground. "Hey! It's no big deal. Please, can we just let this go, Mike?" Ashley begged, grabbing the boys arm. "He didn't mean any harm by it."

"Is there a problem here?" a deep voice sounded behind the group.

Sally didn't say anything. She was on a first name basis with this guy?! Who was he!? And why did she like him if he treated her like shit??

Meanwhile, Larry shoved the dude roughly, so he dropped Sal, who landed on his feet and lightly brushed off his pants. Larry spun the dude around and punched him right in the face.
