It Will Only Be You-chapter 10

Okay here is chapter 10 and I'm sorry it took me a while to update!I was sick with the stomach flu for a while:( Here is the super secret surprise .................................................................*Drumroll pls*...................................................................................................................................................................

               I was on my way to Chloe's house when my phone buzzed. I took it out to check the text, thinking it was Liam or Sam wondering where me and Chloe were. No such luck, It was Zach. I hadn't talked to him ever since I slammed the door in his face last night.

Zach: Are you ignoring me on purpose?:(

I knew if I answered the text we would probably get into a fight and right now was not a good time. I put my phone away with a sinking feeling. It was hard to be excited about setting your friend up when you are having your own relationship problems.

             I turned the corner onto Chloe's street and walked up to her door.

          "Hey, you ready to go?" I asked her as she opened the door. I could tell she dressed up because she was wearing cute dark washed jeans, a white sweater shirt and flip flops.

         "Yeah...who are we meeting up with again?"

          "Sam, Liam and Steven."

          "Oh...ok."

          "You look so good though! I mean ,damn girl, Stephen will totally fall for you!"

          "What? You never told me this was a date!"

          "Umm...surprise!"

          "I hate you." Chloe murmmured under her breath.

         "Oh come on Chlo! he is sweet, agreeable, totally your type, and might I say hot." I said with begging eyes. She gave an exsasperated sigh.

        "Fine."

        "Yay! You are the best!" I jumped up, hugging her.

        "Uh-huh."

             We walked all the way to the diner and there, at a table for five, was Sam, -of course texting on her phone- Liam and Steven. Liam was making a joke and Steven was laughing his head off. I took a seat beside Liam purposely leaving the seat beside Steven open.

             "Hello." Liam smiled obviously in a good mood.

             "Hola." I said back. Okay time to step it up a notch. I thought to myself. "Oh Steven this is Chole, Chloe this is Steven."

             "Hey." Steven nodded at Chloe.

             "Hi." Chloe smiled awkwardky.

             '"Dosen't she look good?" I asked Steven. Chloe jabbed me in the stomach.

             "Yeah." Steven smiled. Making Chloe blushed like crazy. I looked over at Sam as she was mouthing genius.

           "Well me and Charlottte are going to go get some food and a slushie across the street. You to have fun." Sam said gesturing towards Chloe and Steven. We got up linking arms, making our way to the door. Unfortuneately Liam did not get the hint to leave Steven and Chloe alone so I had to go back and get him. Finally we were out the door and on our way to get the slushies.

           "You are such an idiot. You were supposed to get up and walk with us to leave Steven and Chloe alone!" Sam rolled her eyes at Liam.

           "Well I'm sorry I didn't get the cue!"

           "You should be!." Sam retorted. While Sam and Liam bickered I couldn't help, but text Chloe to see how the two of them were getting along. Of course ,me being a klutz and all, I bumped into someone. Zach stood infront of me looking as hot as ever. Sadness, disgust and anger played across his face. He looked at me then my phone and back to me.

          "We're over." he said through gritted teeth. The tears sarted to form in my eyes and I tried to say something but he held up a hand to stop me. "Don't, just don't Char." The sentence was like a slap to the face. He walked passed me angrily ruffling his blonde hair. I watched ,with tearrs rolling down my face, as he walked away head ducked and hands in his pockets. I turned around not bothering to say anything to Liam and Sam. I was speed walking home, but that wasn't fast enough for me so I started to run. Nothing is ever fast enough when you're trying to escape your problems. Liam started to follow me, but Sam pulled him back.

          "Just let her go Liam. She needs some alone time." He turned to face Sam a pained expression in his eyes.
