"Logan, did you build a new door?"
Logan's gaze looked up from his book. He was sitting in the living room and reading his favorite book when Patton called for him. "I'm sorry, what?" Logan asked as he gazed up the stairs.
"There's a new door!" Patron said excitedly. Logan and Roman, who was across the room in the kitchen, exchanged confused glances before going upstairs. They found Patton standing in front of an all black door that hadn't been there that morning. The door had a purple storm cloud on it with a yellow thunder bolt coming out of it. The sides got a sudden sense of uneasiness from the door.
"Should we go inside?" Patton asked. Roman gave the door a disgusted look.
"I don't trust that door. It has an evilness to it." Roman spoke, his hand on the grip of his sword. Logan took his hand off the grip.
"I have reason to deduce we-" Logan started to speak before a small cry was heard from the other side of the door. It sounded like a baby. Patton gasped.
"Lo! There's a baby in there!" He spoke, quickly opening the door. In the dark room, the walls were a dark purple, with the curtains, flooring, and furniture all either black or a shade of purple. Near the window of the room, there was a black crib, with a purple mobile over it. In said crib, the cries only got louder. Patton gasped and stepped in, but when he stepped foot in the dark room, a sense of dread washed over the dad-like side. He gasped softly and stopped for a moment. Logan and Roman's eyes widened as they all stepped into the dark room. Patton walked over to the crib, where a tiny baby boy was lying wrapped in a small black hoodie, sleeping. The baby had the same hair that the other sides had, but it fell over his eyes. He had paler skin than the others and he was a fairly slim baby. As the other sides got closer, the baby started to fuss and soon started to cry. Patton frowned and lifted the sobbing baby into his arms. "Oh, there there. It's okay, baby boy, it's okay. You're okay. Shhhh, shhhh..." he soothed the crying infant. Logan noticed Patton was starting to get eye bags, as was Roman. He frowned and placed a hand on Patton's shoulder."Patton, Id advise that we leave this room. Something is off about it." He spoke. Patton nodded.
"Okay, let's go. It's okay, baby, it's okay. Shhhhh, shhhhhh." He soothed as they walked out of the new side's bedroom. The baby wailed as they left the eerie bedroom. As they got farther and farther from the bedroom, the babies wails turned into softer cries. Patton frowned.
"Logan, can you go get a bottle of milk for him?" He asked the logical side. Logan sighed and nodded as he walked over to the kitchen, grabbing a small bottle and the milk. He warmed it up and waited as Patton tried to calm the crying baby. Roman groaned.
"Patton, will you SHUT HIM UP?!" He shouted, which only got the baby to cry louder. Patton frowned.
"Roman! That is enough!" He shouted softly as not to scare the bawling infant. Logan soon came back, a tiny bottle in hand. "Here you go." Logan spoke softly as he handed Patton the bottle. Patton thanked him and sat down, rubbing the tip of the bottle against the baby's lips. "Here you go, Kiddo. It's okay, you're okay." He spoke softly as the small baby started drinking from the bottle. Patton sighed as the baby drank, no longer crying. "There you go, baby. It's okay. You're safe with us." He spoke to the baby as the boy looked up at him, nursing on the bottle.
"What is it?" Roman asked, getting a slap on the arm from Logan. "What?!" Roman retaliated. Logan sighed.
"You would think the creative side would be kinder to a small child!" Logan spoke fiercely. Roman and Logan started to argue, and the small baby started to fuss, soon crying. Patton frowned and set a towel on his shoulder, moving the infant up and patting his back.
"Guys, could you please not fight? I don't think the little guy likes it very much." He spoke as he soothed the baby. The baby burped gently and whined, sucking on the towel. Patton chuckled softly as he moved the infant forwards and rubbed the bottle against his lips, the small infant instantly latching onto it and sucking on the bottle. Roman and Logan sighed.
"I'm sorry, Patton." Roman mumbled.
"I, too, must apologize for my childish behavior." Logan sighed, adjusting his glasses and straightening up. Patton smiled and shook his head. "No, it's okay. Just try to keep the volume down a little Low-gan." He smiled at his witty pun as the other sides groaned. The baby cooed softly as he finished off the bottle and yawned, a little milk dripping from his mouth. Patton smiled and wiped away the milk before burping the baby again. The baby gently belched and cooed softly. The infant still didn't have any clothes except the hoodie they found him in. Patton smiled softly as the little baby started to fall asleep in his arms.
"He is so cute!" He mouthed happily. Logan sighed.
"Yes, I would have to agree that the small infant child is, in fact, cute. It is basic human emotion to think a small human is in that of the cute range." The logical side spoke. Patton smiled.
"Roman? What do you think, Kiddo?" Patton spoke excitedly. Roman looked at the child and smiled.
"Well, He is rather dashing. If he would only lose those dreaded side bangs." The sides chuckled softly as the baby slept. Patton smiled and looked down at the sleeping child in his arms.
"Don't worry, little guy. We'll take good care of you."
