chapter 1

My name is Hannah and i've been going to TK my whole life now I'm starting 9th grade, my freshman year and I love it here at TK. I love making new friends and introducing myself to all of the new students, especially my best friends lizzy and jessika. I have been friends with lizzy since 3rd grade, and introduced myself to jessika at the beginning of 8th grade. but there was a new student, a guy and I would have gone up to him and introduced myself but I couldnt. I dont know why i was so nervous. his name was Matthew Lee Espinosa and some other guys that Were his friends which lizzy and jess liked. lizzy, said "wow I guess you really do like him because you introduce yourself to every new student." well that's how I became friends with jess, by introducing myself.  I nodded and smiled sheepishly.  We finished all our classes and Lizzy rode the bus home.  Jess and I walked to her house.  We hung out for a while and then I had to walk home. I walked past the high school and I noticed someone sitting on a bench outside.   He noticed me and waved.  I waved back shyly because loe and behold it was Matthew.  He started to get up and come over to me.  I looked down at my feet.  

"Hey, you're Hannah, right?" I heard him ask.

"Yeah, how did you know?" I asked him.

"You're in my English and Spanish class.  You sit behind me in English and next to me in Spanish." he answered.

"Oh, I didn't notice." I said, looking down at my Vans.

"Are you walking home by yourself?" he asked me.

"Yeah, I was just at my best friend, Jessika's house."  I said.

"Oh, do you live around here?"

"Yeah, I live just up the road."

"Cool, so do I.  Mind if I walk you home?"

"Sure.  That would be great."  I smiled at him.
