Just leave, please.
You were just done. With your ten year old, Miyoung, holding your 1 year old, Chaeyoung, who was asleep, they looked at you and now your official ex-boyfriend, Jeon Jungkook, fighting in the living room. You knew Jungkook was always apologizing and saying he'll do better, and being the usual gullible one, you went back to him every single damn time. Now, that you realized it all at age 27, it was time to let him go, even if he stole your heart 10 years ago.
"Y/N, let me explain," he said, as he tried to come closer to you.
"No," you said, backing up. "I'm done with everything that has to deal with you. I want every inch of your stuff, GONE. Miyoung, please go to your room. Make sure she's asleep, araso?"
"Yes, Mom," Miyoung said as she carefully held onto a sleeping Chaeyoung went back to her room.
"Baby, please, I love you so much," he tried to say. "You mean so much to me as much as the girls do."
"Yeah right," you scoffed. "I've learned my lesson now, Jeon. I guess the old Jeon Jungkook I used to love is gone. You've changed."
"If I lose you again--"
"Enough with that bullshit!~" you yelled. "*sighs* Look, it's over, Jungkook. I should have known to leave you even before Chaeyoung was born. Hyejeong was right. Even my sister, Mina, was right. Hell, even my brother was right. I should have left you the moment you cheated on me the first time ever."
"Please," he said, begging on his knees. "I need you in my life."
"I'm sorry but no," you said. "It's over."
He got up, tears slowly falling from his face and you knew it hurt you so much. But you had to do what's right for you and your girls. It was time to move on. Jungkook gathered the last of his things and headed to the door. But before he could leave, he turned around.
"Let me at least say goodbye to the girls," he said.
"Fine," you said. You quickly went to your daughter's room and told Miyoung, "Daddy wants to tell you something before he leaves." Miyoung, having a sad expression on her face tried her best to smile for you as she went to say goodbye to Jungkook. You took Chaeyoung from her and held her tightly, as she was still fast asleep.
As you saw your daughter in tears, you felt heartbroken. But you knew that this was the best for your life, for the sake of your daughters. As you saw Jungkook tell her something and kissed and hugged her one last time, you felt your heart shatter. You knew that your daughter loved him so much, despite all the trouble he caused.
But you were determined to fix your broken heart and life again, one step at a time. As Jungkook opened the door, he glanced at you and your girls, smiling with tears in his eyes, he exited and the door was shut.
"M-Mommy-y," you heard your daughter sniffling as she tried to hold back her tears. "Wh-here's Dad-dy going-g to-o go?"
"Princess, come here," you said, as you used your free arm to embrace her. She started to cry, her tears staining your t-shirt.
"Miyoung, sometimes, people make the wrong mistakes," you started to say. "And sometimes, we tend to forgive someone easily, despite the fact that they tell us they will change."
"What does that mean, Mom?" she asked.
"Well, sweetie, we need to learn from our mistakes and I just realized it now," you said honestly. "Mommy has done a lot of bad stuff in the past but now that I realized it, I want to change those bad habits into something good. And, I know that breaking up with Dad was hard to do, but I did what's best for me, and for you. Eventually, you'll get older and understand."
She looked at you, wiping her tears away and giving you a small smile.
"Just remember that I love you and Chaeyoung so much," you told her as you kissed her.
"I love you too, Mom," she said hugging you. You used your arm to embrace her tightly and kissed the top of her head.
"Why don't we go to bed? I've had a long day and besides, it's Sunday Funday tomorrow with your favorite Auntie Mina, Uncle Hoseok, Auntie Hyejeong, and your besties," you said, trying to cheer her up.
"Alright, Mom," she said, letting go of you and kissing you and Chaeyoung. "Good night, I love you."
"I love you too," you said, smiling. As you make your way to your room, you place Chaeyoung in her crib and settled yourself into your bed.
Turning to look at the bright city lights of Seoul, you wondered how you could make it through life now. With a broken heart starting its way towards moving on and recovering, two daughters who had no father figure, you wished that life would become better for you soon. Once all this trouble leaves you in the past, it's time for a new life and a new you.
Your mind slowly shuts down, as your eyes close for the night.
