Lyra Kennedy had a rough couple weeks. Her boyfriend just dumped her and moved halfway across the world. She lost her steady job at an accounting firm. She had to put down her dog after it contracted a tumor. Just when it seems all her luck has run out, she lands a spot on a new reality TV show that her overeager mother pushed her to apply for. The show's concept is simple: 12 men and 12 women are flown in to a luxurious California beach mansion, Bachelor-style. There, the audience watches their daily interactions, and at the end of each week, they vote to pair up one man and one woman for a date at a place of their choosing, based on who they think has the best chemistry. After the dates, the couple with the worst chemistry is voted off the show. 

When Lyra is paired up by the audience with an amazing guy, she thinks perhaps her luck has returned for good. But as the show goes on and gets more popular, she can't help but wonder if the man the audience picked for her isn't the one she would've chosen for herself. It seems things in real life are a bit more messy than they are as seen on TV.

This book is ongoing. I just couldn't help myself. I had to add it.
