Chapter Sixteen

Tonian's POV
"What the fuck,happened?" Lorenzo was yelling at me and the girls.

"We were in a police chase,sorry we didn't invite you," Celina yelled back at him,throwing down my keys, leaving the garage and Lorenzo being the baby he is, followed behind her.

"What happened?"
"Samuel,all I can say is that we were chased,the weird thing is how did they know about us and my car,we didn't take that route when we were going to the docks,plus they shouldn't even be shooting at us"

"Well as long as your all safe,we're good," Gabrielle gave me a hug. Making my beating heart go at a slower pace.

"I'm going inside,"Stella took her luggage out of Samuel's car,leaving only three of us in the garage.

"Okay,you lovebirds let's go it's dinner time,"

We all went inside heading into the kitchen, around the dining table everyone was devouring the favorite meals. After Samuel and Gabrielle sat down at the table with everyone else,I told the chef to send my dinner to my room and I then headed upstairs. I sat on my bed,thinking about what happened,how did the cops know that,not many people in the mafia knew about it,we were lucky we made it out of it though.

Before we were off the high way, Stella contacted my brother having him wait for us. We unloaded the trunk putting the cargo in Samuel's car. We did our best so we that we could carry it all, and so we could all fit.

I didn't want to ditch the car,it was my favorite ride. It was a sweet sixteen gift from my abuelo. I miss the old man.

I heard a small knock at the door,I went to open it and it was Gorden,holding a silver tray with a cheese burger and a glass of soda.

"I was told to bring this to you,"
"Thanks,oh,come on in I have something I want to talk to you about,"

"Um,okay, "I set the tray on my desk sitting on my bed beside Gorden.

"Am I a bad person?"
"What do you mean?"
"Answer the question,am I or am I not a good person?"

Tears began rolling down my cheek,falling onto my hand. He looked at me for a minute,he sighed and looked me in my watery eyes.

"Honestly, I think you are good person,"
"And what makes you say that?"
"Well,you spared my life,and you have been nothing but kind and a sweet target,"

"Then tell me why, would someone,from my familia betray me,tell me,"he was silent,not moving a muscle,not even breathing.

I soon felt his arm around me,holding me,while his hand wiped away my tears. I looked at his handsome face which was wearing a smile.

"I'm sorry,I shouldn't have shouted at you like that," I held onto his shoulders while my face was being dried by his shirt,he hugged me,giving me comfort and warmth. I needed this. I really did.
