Damon X Reader: a bloody beginning

You again?

After finally leaving the hospital, I walked back to Aunt Liz's house, but something seemed off... I looked behind me only to be greeted by nothing. I shrugged it off and continued on my way, speeding up slightly. When I finally got back to the house, I was greeted in two warm embraces, one from my awesome cousin and another by my caring aunt. 

(Time skip to six pm)

I was reading a book on the couch when I heard a knock on the front door. I thought it must be the pizza that Aunt Liz ordered. "I'll get it!" I got up from the couch and walked to the door. I opened up the door only to see a tall black haired dude with blue eyes and a black tee shirt. "...where's the pizza?" I accidentally said out loud. "Wait, Sorry, I didn't think before I said that..."

 I instantly regretted opening my mouth as I tried to think of a way to fix my mistake. "Can I help you? My Aunt is just upstairs..." I awkwardly stumbled away to get my aunt, just leaving the stranger standing there. A few seconds later, I came back downstairs, following Liz. "Oh hey Damon. A/N, this is my friend from work. I invited him to dinner with us. Damon, this is A/N, my niece." she said casually, like this was just a normal Friday night activity. 'And I embarrassed myself in front of a super cute guy. This sounds like some weird romance novel, next thing you know, he turns out to be a werewolf or some crap like that. But in all seriousness, he looks Kinda familiar...' I said to myself, Unable to figure out who he looks like. 'Maybe he looks like some famous actor or something...' ten minutes later, the pizza arrived and we all ate dinner in the living room watching a cheesy and clearly fake horror movie. After The movie was done, Damon left and Caroline and Liz went to bed. I would get the couch until the guest room was cleaned out, but it was fine. I was just glad to be here instead of in my old room. 

I stayed awake for a decently long time before finally falling asleep. But for the first time in forever, I slept peacefully, no nightmares, no running for my life, just empty nothingness. 

(Hey guys, Buggy here, this is my first official chapter in a while, so I hope you liked it. Also I noticed something. When I first wrote this book, I made the reader 15. And I thought that Damon was 22, and now I realize the age gap... oh boy... but after some quick research, I found out that Damon is actually 25. So that would make the reader ten years younger then Damon. That is a pretty large gap. So I am going to make some changes. The reader is now 17 to make it less of an age gap. Thanks for reading!
