~~ Luke's P.O.V, Before we left for the elevators ~~
"Calum, we need to finish Disconnected, we only have like the chorus." I said, while Bethany walked back into her room. There was a knock on the door. I wonder who that could be. "I know, do you wanna do it on the tour bus?" He asked, while getting the door. As soon as he opened the door, I saw Sydney bring him into a bear hug. "Calum! Waddup, bruh?" She asked, trying to sound like a dude. The guys and I laughed at her attempt to be 'one of us guys'. "Bruh, we just ate some maaaaad waffles, you should've been here earlier!" He said, fist pumping Sydney. If you guys didn't know, Matt's brother, Brad, is the manager of Sydney's band, Echosmith (you know, the band that made Cool Kids?). So, she was like family to us. "Why're ya here, Syd?" Michael asked, looking up from his 3DS. "Oh, Matt called Brad and said that he hired a stylist, and she's the only girl here. He said that he needed a girl here to keep her company while she was a stylist." She replied, while walking over to the couch and sat next to me, where Calum sat before he opened the door. "Aw, that's sweet of Matt to do for her." Ashton said, while greeting Sydney. "Do you know who the girl is, Sydney?" Niall asked, putting his phone away. "No, I just know that she's a girl, and that she's your new stylist." She sighed, wanting to meet this 'stylist'. And just on time, Bethany walked out with her luggage. "Finally, gurl you took forever!" Sydney said, while getting up from the couch. Bethany dropped her stuff and went over to Sydney and hugged her. "Oh my gosh, what are you doing here?" She said, still hugging Sydney. "Matt felt bad that you were the only girl here, so he asked if I had the time to be your friend in crime." She laughed, hugging Bethers back. Did I just call her Bethers? Hmm, must've rubbed off on me or something. Matt decided to come in from the balcony, and the boys and I stared at Bethany with, Where did she get that energy from?! "Hurry up girls, we have a tour bus to catch!" Matt shouted, while walking out of the suite. "Oh, alright" Bethany mumbled, getting her stuff.
~~ Fast Forward to the Piggyback Rides ~~
"Luke, we have to beat them!!!" Calum shouted, while we both saw "Bedney" as Bethany called it, zipped right past us. "No!" I shouted, trying to run to the two girls. Bethany's pretty. I thought, while I saw them zip around a corner to the elevators. I tripped, thinking, Wait, what did I just think? Of course she's pretty. "Mate, we all know that she's pretty. No need to hide it." Calum said, while getting up to dust his clothes. "Yeah mate, we all know they're pretty, it's not like their trolls!" Ashton said, while helping me up. "Guys, we have to catch up. I'm going on without you guys." Matt said, walking quickly past us, Michael quickly joining right after. "Calum, get back on, we're going to the elevators." I said, while gesturing Calum to jump onto my back. "Yay!" He squealed, while jumping on my back. We ran to the elevators, which wasn't too far from where I tripped, the other two following. "Dang it!" Calum shouted, jumping off my back. Bethany went to go hit the down button for the elevator. "HAHA, I TOLD YOU! Now, hand it over!" Ashton said, while gesturing to Niall to give him something. "Ugh, I didn't think Sydney would be that fast! No offense, Sydney." Niall said, handing Ashton $5, and looking at the two girls. "Ugh, I will take offense!" Sydney said, pulling her hand to her heart. We started to laugh, and then, *ding* the elevator doors opened. We kept on laughing while we piled into the elevator to go into the lobby. "The others are in the lobby, already." Niall said, while locking his phone and putting it into his pocket. Soon, the elevator doors opened, and we started to pile out. "Okay everybody, give me your key cards." Matt said. We all started to shuffle to get our key cards. "Here" We all said, handing him the cards. "Okay, you guys are set, just go and settle down on the tour bus. Bethany and Sydney, come with me." Matt said, getting the cards and walking to the front desk. We all started to go to the tour bus, and settle down, like Matt said.
~~ Bethany's P.O.V ~~
Syndey and I followed Matt to the front desk. "Girls, go buy yourselves some candy, since you guys won the race." Matt said, giving us both $5. "No, no, no, you don't have to give me money." I said, denying the offer. "No, you're our stylist, and Sydney's going to help you throughout the tour, so I want to treat you guys with candy while I check back in and wait for you guys at the front door, near the tour buses." Matt said, saying that final is final, and shooing me and Sydners away from the front desk and pointing to the vending machine with candy in it. "OMG, LOOK AT ALL THIS CANDY." Sydney shouted, while we both ran up the the machine. "What're you gonna get?" I asked, while getting some Swedish Fish. "I'm gonna get some gummy octopuses, of course!" She said, warily getting the candy out of the little bucket thingy that contains the product you just bought. We opened the candy, and went straight to the front door. "Okay, so I've decided that since you're more comfortable with 5SOS, that you'll be joining their tour bus for now. I'll decide later everything else for you. But for now, let's focus on getting to Nashville and flying to Houston, TX." Matt said, while leading us to 5SOS' tour bus. We got onto the bus, and Matt explained to the boys what he just told us, while Sydney and I set our things down, sat on the couch, and continued to eat our candy. "Alright, boys I'll be on 1D's tour bus if you need anything." Matt said, going to the tour bus ahead of us. "Welcome to our crib, girls." Michael said, while getting his 3DS and plopping down next to me. I saw that he was playing Pokemon. "Yeah, this is our crib, oh, and Bethany, your stuff is in the lounge room in the back of the bus." Ashton said, while turning on the TV to find Spongebob Squarepants on. "OH MY GOSH, YAAASSSSS" Calum said, plopping next to Ashton, laughing inanimatedly at the jokes that just occured on the television screen. "YAHASSSSSS!" Sydney said, while joining them, still eating her candy. "Here, let's go get you set up" Luke said, grabbing my hand and pulling me into the back of the bus where my stuff was. Woah, what's going on here.... I thought, blushing while he pulled me to the back. We set everything up, and I sat down, saying that I needed a quick break. "Bethany, can you help me with something?" Luke said, sitting next to me. "Sure, what do you need help with?" I answered, still wondering why he held my hand earlier. "I'm writing a song, ya know that song you heard me sing while you walked out of your room?" He asked. "Life's a tangled web of cell phone calls and hashtag I-Don't-Knows." He sang to me, grabbing his phone out, going to the notes app. "That's part of the first verse, while 'I like the summer rain, I like the sounds you make. We put the world away, we get so disconnected. You are my getaway, you are my favorite place. We put the world away, yeah we're so disconnected.'" He sang, reading the lyrics off of his phone. "Let's see. Can I see your phone for a minute?" I asked. "Sure." He said, handing me his phone. Life's a tangled web of cell phone calls and hashtag I-Don't-Knows. And you, you're so caught up in all the blinking lights and dial tones. I admit I'm a bit of a victim of the worldwide system, too. But I found my sweet escape when I'm alone with you. Tune out the static sound of the city that never sleeps, here in the moment on the dark side of the screen. I typed, while putting my concentration face on. Once I finished the first verse, I gave it back to Luke. I saw him read over it, and said, "Wow, you're really good at brainstorming, Bethany!" with a smile on his face. "Aw, thanks." I blushed, looking at the ground. He pushed my chin up with his finger, and said "Don't be afraid to share your ideas with us, we're basically family now." He said, while looking into my eyes. Wow, his eyes are sooooooooooo blue. "Luke, I need you real quick..." Calum said, while looking at the position we were in. Okay, see this is why you don't make a move too quick, Luke... I thought, while looking at Calum, and then the ground. "Oh, alright." Luke said, quickly locking his phone, getting up, and following Calum, looking at me apologetically. I sent him a look that said: It's alright, but that was embarassing... Who knows what would've happened if Calum never interrupted. I got up, and went to go take a quick nap. This is going to be some interesting tour.
